I am in the same shoes.....brought some share through AMYN investment back then, transferring the share now look like impossible having lost the recipient I got from share purchase with them. The good side is am collecting dividends of like worth around 10% yearly.
From my little knowledge Bonds or TBills is better.

Bros, which one is transferring the shares? Do they still exist? You mean those purchased shares still exist?
I know all my documents with them are in one file. Just that I don't I don't have a clue of where the organization or the shares went to.

If you have any info, please let me know

please to what tune can one put in Bond and Bills?

Bonds is a type of long-term investment with higher profit rate. If you have money you don't have immediate use for, you can invest in bonds. You can invest less funds in bonds compared to T-Bills. I think the minimum you can invest in FG bonds is 50k or so. You can check out the thread to confirm

Gov bond is far better it has a high interest rate and is more secure since it’s the government. If u want to invest gov bond is the best, if not treasury bill before considering fixed deposit

Throw more light on the FGN Bond pls. Thanks

Poor people who dream about becoming rich throw money into shares or fixed deposit.

NB: I hate banks and their business models.

Choosing between investing in fixed deposits or investment bonds requires careful deliberation, and evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of both these investment vehicles. The success of any investment tool ultimately depends on how well it meets your requirements. Here’s a brief lowdown to help you understand fixed deposits and investment bonds better.Fixed deposits involve saving a certain amount of money in an account for a fixed tenor. Investment bonds are similar to fixed deposits in this sense. This is because they too involve investing a sum of money for a stipulated time frame. While FD interest rates are much higher than investment bonds, investment bonds offer more tax benefits.lease.

But the difference in rate seems okay especially considering longevity.
I currently use fixed deposit at 8.5 interest rate. I honestly think its not so bad considering its short term.

Mine is every month
And its also very secured although i am still considering this treasury bills when the time is right

Please which bank gives this 8.5%.

Also for how long and what amount?

I don't know. But I know that at that point (1 mn & above), commercial Banks have tailored products for depositors.
With applicable rates on their websites. Check with your bank.
Check two other Banks to compare rates.

The interest rates on both fixed deposits, bonds and commercial papers are calculated per annum.

The average range of interest is from 10-13% depending on volume of investment. For someone that needs quick money I won't advise any, but if I have time for patience, you can go for bond.

Biticon, FX trading has quicker earning time. But market has vagaries, so proper knowledge must be intact before your expose yourself.
Na them. Na so una mouth dey sweet.

Buy TB and FGN bonds. The money you put in fixed deposit is what banks pool together to buy TB and Bonds. It is the reason Nigerian banks hardly give loan.
Re: Which Is Better; Fixed Deposit Or Bonds? by bigandbold: 8:30pm On Jul 14, 2019
It depend on how long you are ready to keep your money
FGN Savings Biond is for long term which the tenor is for 2 and 3 years respectively while Fixed Deposit is for short tenor. Yes Treasury Bills is a Federal Government instruments that has good investment return but the rate is currently down. Also note that there is FGN Bonds and FGN Savings Biond.
The minimum for FGN Bonds is N20m while the FGN Savings Biond minimum is N5,000. The FGN Savings Biond is available every first week of the month. You can reach me via bsanni@afrinvest.com or 09095041827 for more details.
