And he was fed repeatedly and he could not dribble a single player. Sometimes, we just have to let the guy grow at his own rate. This overhyping will eventually get to him and his head and he will end up like other overhyped Nigerian players.

He was not fed repeatedly, go watch the match again. They concentrated more or Musa's wing for attacks and he couldn't deliver. Musa has pace but his off the ball movement is terrible.

Chukwueze kept Algerian defence in check as they were afraid to move forward from that right wing. His removal extingushed the fire in the attack and gave the Algerians more confidence to move forward and continue to cause problems for the Nigerian defense.

Watching football is not about watching 22 men run after a round leather object. Watch it technically and tactically. Infact watch what players are doing when they don't have the ball and you'll get more information about how the game goes.

This phase will pass. It happens sometimes. Football belongs to the streets and right now, it has been taken away from the streets and the elite now play and control it.

Rohr should not be allowed back into the country. If Pinnick likes him so much, he can go with him to Germany for all I care.

As for Akpeyi, one would expect a goalkeeper with years of experience under his belt to exhibit a level of confidence befitting of such years of experience. I mean Akpeyi has been around a Nigerian team since 2005. He was at the Olympics in 2008. It is no wonder he was second fiddle to Vanzekin on both occasions. Akpeyi is better off catching aparo in Igbo Irunmole.

Nigerian football needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. We have lost our dynamism. Players, today, are too predictable and are not self driven. Competition in the team is non-existent. Players waltz into camp and are guaranteed places. These bunch of players have given their best, and that best is a semi-final berth.

I understand bro you see when Ndidi committed that foul I just told my friends that Mahrez has scored cos we don't even have a goalkeeper in the first place, as a footballer in the dying minutes of these kind of games you dare not commit such fouls close to your penalty box with a team with a dead ball specialist like Mahrez you definitely gonna get punished for it, Algeria came fully prepared though we still do not have a coach though,

I understand You Bros...
Earlier Before that Free Kick, Mahrez made A Run from The Left Flank, he had a Clear shot at Goal but wanted to be more comfortable, That Was when Awaziem Or so saved our ass....

No thesame thing was almost Happening Again, do we Allow another clear shot Or Make what I call a Technical Foul?

Life is Full Of decisions, Ndidi or Etebo i dont Know which Made the wrong decision This Time

God go bless you.....let me add this...they also noticed our play was basically from the midfield...they dominated the central ...immediately our players realised they couldn't penetrate from the middle...they became technically confused...this was where we needed Mikel obi...I swear....I was just shouting where Mikel,,where Mikel...the Algerian team tactically chased iwobi of the central midfield...

Take a bow Super Eagles! You guys tried to get thus far in the tournament and at this stage,u can't give what u don't have. Ageria were the better team.

Akpeyi, Ezenwa, Mikel, Musa, Ogu and Ighalo should all retire and our 19 year old keeper should also go into obscurity.

The tall striker should look for another talent in basket ball or volleyball and the pensioner of our coach should be sacked.

WAY FOWARD:
Get a better coach who will work on our goalkeeping department, central defence, fullbacks, midfield and striking department. Someone who reads game and wouldn't appear jittery in matches. Someone who makes the right selections and effective changes. And finally someone who will get the team mobile and move the ball faster which is how modern football is played!

Back to the drawing board.

An average coach would've read the game proper at 20 mins and then adjust things to match the opponents superior tactical play. Instead, he elected to leave things the way they're and hope for a miracle.

The result was that we looked like school boys running around the pitch aimlessly. Iwobi is yet to convince me in that #10 position. Samson siasia is technically sound and should takeover from Rohr. Rohr is below average tho.

Siasia team scores easily not this one that strugles to score.

I wish they can just allow him take over asap...

No bro. The issue wasn't Ndidi..... He almost got the ball. The free kick was due to the carelessness of the player that first miscontrolled when the ball was passed to him.... The player put the entire team under pressure and a state of panic.

When you make mistakes with a team like Algeria with Mahrez who just needs one chance to punish you, then the game over, in soccer there is what we CA shoulder to shoulder unbalancing look at Ndidi,s leg was almost at the thigh of the fouled player and he came from behind, what he would have done was try to unbalance the opposing player, then the referee could have ignored the foul or not, as for the Goalkeeper no wonder he's even 3rd choicd in Keizer Chiefs

Ndidi, dat tackle was unnecessary.Ur players wer plenty in 18th yard box.Ur trapping sef dat let to de foul is zero.

Akpeyi! Akpeyi! Akpeyi! How many times have I called you so? Which goalkeeper on earth will form a wall during free kick taking n still go n hide behind the wall? Even Ikorodu United goalkeeper can't be so naive n bereft of simple goalkeeping ideas.

I agree with you. Akpeyi's positioning gave Mahrez the goal.

What I didn't get 1) About Awaziem was why he wouldnt come back, get the ball and drive it upwards... Instead he stayed glued to Chukwueze, since the first half... Inverted fullbacks take up midfield spaces, I dnt understand his. And pls dnt even mention *false....

2) We aren't good at winning first or second balls yet we keep launching to Ighalo who ofc keeps losing the aerial battle... Is that a target man?

3) Creativity.... Pheww! This one speaks for itself...

No, they did not "Full field" because there was Ighalo. I had wished Ighalo is spelt Onyekuru, the Eagles would have been getting ready for Senegal.

Mikel wouldn't have changed anything. He would even killed off more tempo and give 20 back passes in 2 minutes.

Removing Chukwueze was the prime decision that killed the tempo, encouraged the Algerians to come forward and press harder until they got the well deserved goal. Also, Ighalo lost almost all the ball he contested for, even in his own half. Etebo and Ndidi will win the ball only for the lackluster dude to lose the next second.

Ighalo was the Algerian 12th player.
