That's exactly what the issue is.

All the complainant has to do is to go to whatsapp permissions settings and enable them all.

Anything Social that's not made in China has restrictions. That's why GAPPS are not on Chinese phones, you have to find a way to sideload it, the sideloading is efficient but not as efficient as it been integrated in the ROM/OS
