Just to clarify. No one knows the specific exchange rate IRCC uses for your POF. The VO uses the current exchange rates issued by IRCC at the time your application is considered. Exchange rate is not locked post-AOR so it changes everyday. For now, the changes are not substantial and we hope it remains that way. Xe or Oanda are close estimates for the naira but it is wise to have a little above the statutory amount required for your family size, in case exchange rates fluctuate post-AOR.

slushy:
Please who has an idea the exchange rate IRCC uses when converting the proof of fund. Black market or oanda? I’m asking so I can know how much USD is the equivalent of the CAD. Thanks

Great news: The Canada Child Benefit is going up next Saturday! That means more money, tax-free, for moms and dads across the country to spend where you and your kids need it most.

Canada oh Canada...we can't wait to come, since our native land has no package for our kids.

Aww! Congratulations!!! Super happy for you

The risks we take in this EE journey. Thank God your house didn't burn down, I was scared for your dogs grin Nice that it has ended in praise.

Thank you for sharing your script. You score 9.1/10

I wish you all the best in Canada

P.s Perhaps you were fortunate or your POF difference was not much below IRCC exchange rates or your VO was considerate. POF is not locked post-AOR, past applicants have been refused PPR for shortage of POF due to exchange rate fluctuations post-AOR. The general advice is to ensure POF is a little above the statutory amount on the day CIC verifies your documents as IRCC uses the exchange rates by the day. So for those of us waiting, if you notice your POF is falls short due to exchange rates, please beef it up and raise a CSE to avoid stories that touch. Some VOs are unnecessarily strict. Pm me for the links in which I got this info, don't want to paste non-NL links so I don't get banned.

Soglite:
This is belated PPR announcement!!!

AOR: March 20th, single applicant.

VO: Accra.

MEP and BIL: May 2nd

I asked around and I was told that won't affect me because POF is locked in after AOR.

Happy Sunday to everyone.

Good day house... Please I need a well detailed advice from the gurus here. I currently study in Germany. Just started however in this Summer April. Masters in Mathematics. However I have a Masters degree in Mathematics already from Unilag. I'm married without kids. But presently I'm finding the Masters program tough here coupled with the fact that I must work to pay bills. I was planning to bring my wife to Germany on a reunion visa and the process is hell. And it wouldn't make sense for both of us to be on a student visa here in Germany. Now, I have resided to relocate to Canada with my wife who's still in Nigeria. I need a clear process to go about this. I also want to ask that if my wife goes for the ielts and file for the family, will my MSc count since am under her. And in all what's the best way to go about this. I seriously need your contributions. Thanks in advance

As regards your question, it is going to be tough to claim those kids as they don't have your surname. I believe there should be an affidavit to address that, stating the reasons why they (the kids) aren't having your surname. You can even back it up with blood group docs, medical certificates etc
did you really type this This is totally false

Oh wow! The only thing delaying my eca with ces was the transcript (my copy) just for me to check after this to see that it’s not mandatory. Thank you so much for this. God bless you

TemiGee:
I used CES and I didn't send any student copy of transcript. Unless things have changed recently, I believe the only transcript required is official transcript and it should be sent directly from your school to CES via courier.

She does not need to be a CIC staff to understand it. Spend some time over the next draws (or study previous draws carefully) understanding how it works before providing such info. We have high standards for accurate information on this thread.

Weds you study previous draws or not, nobody has absolute idea how they operate their system, so stop feeling like express entry professor and get lost.

If your MSc degree is from Nigeria, you will need to send WAEC or neco results and your MSc transcript. If MSc was obtained outside Nigeria, you won't need to send your WAEC or NECO. Either ways, you don't need to send your BSc. Evaluate highest degree only.

This question has been answered so many times on the thread. Reading back a few pages would have answered your question.

Good evening everyone, please i need some clarification.

For WES verification, can we use a WAEC result that has 5 credits that does not include English. He has maths and other subjects except English. Meanwhile the GCE he did that had English was while he was in polytechnic already. His poly accepted the waec without English for his course. He wrote waec in 1998,got admitted into poly 1999,wrote gce 2000,graduated from poly 2001.

Or do we verify both waec and gce results
