along with Mikel, this should be the last tournament for ighalo, onuachu, musa, the eagles team needs people like Samuel Kalu, oshimen, chukwueze and nwakali to stake their claim and be starters

I think this man is a good coach, he might be a bit slow to make changes but he sees the bigger picture

Please don't make me remember Sunday Oliseh, the hot head with zero emotional intelligence, couldn't build but scattered the team we managed to build. Deep sigh

The worst flop in the Nations cup for us was the keeper. I believe the coach was forced by Amajuru Picnick to play Akpeyi. There are even better keepers in the Nigerian Primier League

We nigerians get too sentimental about issues. Point is this coach was woeful. The team was also woeful. This nigerian team had the potential and ought to win this afcon! I hope u know it wasnt the coach that won us this third place but the individual brilliance of the players. The coach was tactically and technically poor and made fatal decisions that cost us a lot. With a good coach this Nigerian team should have lifted the cup. The coach made same mistakes during the world cup against a very poor argentina side that any team cud have beaten silly and we ended up losing that game and crashing out. He did same mistake that cost us the afcon. Point is, this man should be sacked, and we should get better coaches that can manage our team and read games and read our opponents tactical moves. In football, and i dare say in life generally, You don't judge success by what you have achieved alone but by comparing what u have achieved with the potentials u had at ur disposal! Thats why a team like real madrid or barca can end up second in the league or even runners up in a champions league and still sack the coach, because they dont just look at what they have achieved as runners up, but also consider the potentials the team had, the way the team played (did they mostly struggle to scrap out wins or they played and won seamlessly and smoothly especially against relatively weaker opponents), targets etc.
So nobody should ever say these guys tried. They were woeful by my assessment, and truth is, if this error is not corrected now by sacking this coach and bringing in a sound coach that understands that the super eagles traditionally play exciting attacking football, and then scout for very zealous younger lads who can give their all for their nation, (not the bunch of lazy guys we have today as players), this nigerian team would be headed for more disaster. It happened against argentina and we failed to see it, and today we ended up celebrating mere third place. Its about to happen again, mark my words. How the mighty are fallen that we now get overjoyed by getting third place medal when we could achieve more. I bet in the next AFCON, when they crash out of the group stages, you guys will start celebrating that at least they made it to afcon in the first place. That's how standards fall quickly.

THE COACH SHOULD BE SACKED.

HE LACK TECHNICAL DEPTH IN COACHING.

AND ALSO NIGERIA LACK EXPERIENCED PLAYERS

WE NEED TO BUILD THE NATIONAL TEAM FROM THE SCRATCH USING OUR LOCAL BASED PLAYERS.

The Cameroun football administrator sack Seedolf recently but we want to honour mediocrity.

If this is an achievement to Rohr.

It is not an achievement to Nigeria as our football level has surpassed this mediocrity Rohr and his cohort is wanting us to celebrate.

Rohr should go and take a job with the german national team or any of those Eu footballing countries.

If the footballing eu countries will not kick his damn ASS !

Rohr is good enough.

The problem with Nigeria is that we have a lot of exceptional individual players but we don't have a team.

And I found out yesterday that Iwobi is very useless
Which dirty exceptional individual players? Do you have any player at the same level as Aubumayang? We're so used to mediocrity i this country, that's why our number one striker can be playing in the chinese league and it's okay while our main winger players in the Arabic republic of Saudi Arabia.

If you took your time, you'd understand that being "good" and being "good enough" has a wide margin between them.

I agree to your submissions especially about the Keeping position. Uzoho was more confident in goal yesterday than Akpeyi has been in the entire tournament.

And the strikers, onyekuru was supposed to be our natural second choice behind Ighalo but the coaches had their reasons.

Overall, lets give Rohr more chance, possibly he'd make things better. I can't support the call for his sack.

So far so good!
And what if Rohr is Nigerian? I doubt if your last paragraph would be the same.

How many goals did salah.Mane and co score and you are here criticizing a man who possibly will win the golden boot in this years Afcon because he plays in China, na people like una make this country to dey retrogress, I tire for una.

Rohr tried in terms of managing the team and risks to get us to victory bt in terms of development of the team and getting it to the level it shud be he is far from the mark. we need more engagement and organization including actively scouting both local and foreign talents than to challenge the present team and attain a better level. Also many areas to work on and areas we do not utilize to full potentials.

By benching Uzoho to no 3 gave him room to built his confident. Uzoho has learnt his lesson in a serious way. If given another chance again, he will make use of it. As for Rorh, the man tried for us. Let him be.

I must credit rohr for creating a family like atmosphere for the players. When was the last time our national team was this close and United. It's so obvious the players want to represent the country and are eager to play for the coach. But rohr you can do better please.

Its not about nations cup error, he wasn't playing for his club pre Nations cup. Taking inactive players ahead of the active ones to competition shows the coach is bereft of ideas

nna eh ..is this memory loss a Nigeria thing or a black man thing... The way we forget where we started nd hoping for what we didnt work do amaze me..

The first time since 2013 we saw a super eagles that surpassed our expectation yet we are not happy...imagine against Algeria was a late goal and a quality player like Mahrez was the decider.... if u give 11 players from super eagles to play that kick only 3 will score it..how is that the coach fault...itire o

Without pandering to emotions Rohr should be booted out.
He tried but we must not be made to celebrate mediocrity.

When Keshi was in charge though we didn't play fancy football, but you could see purpose and intent in our play not this tepid and lacklustre uninspiring display we see every now and then.
Truthfully, all through out this tournament the eagles never played any single convincing match were they held their own.
Not even against Guinea with manageable Nabiy Keita nor Burundi.
we struggled through all our matches.
Believe me, we're really lucky to. met and effective Cameroonian side they would have knocked us out.

I know I am not good but it does not mean that I should accept mediocrity when we can do better

Rohr has outlived his usefulness.

Yeah I agree he was down pecking order in BRIGHTON.Tell me how many games Sergio Romero played for Man Utd last two seasons, yet he remained number 1 for Argentina event at COPA America 2019. Leon had bad luck with injuries when he was about breaking that tight combo between Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy the two centre backs ahead of him at Brighton

You people should stop. fooling us with words like "good" and being "good enough. "

If other countries never sacked Rohr he wouldn't be our coach.

His tactics most times are poor and his ideas are mostly outdated .
His style of coaching is rigid and unflexible and this was one of the reason the Algerians ran at us with reckless abound.
And the Tunisians did the same but they were just unlucky in the final third.

We need a coach who we can plan with ,who has vision beyond a mere consolatory third position .
