Behold Ighalo's #9 jersey will also be up for grabs.... And this looks like the most likely candidate to inherit it in the long run... You know him.... And time will tell. Victor "The Menace" Osimhen....

Actually I won't be so surprised. Kelechi could also inherit the #9 jersey. It is a possibility. I have mapped out so many possible happenings in the Post Mikel Era if our key young talents keep growing into the real deals as expected. Osimhen remains, by my personal observation and projection, the most likely to inherit the No.9 shirt but Kelechi Iheanacho is also in with a shout as an outsider. For me, Kelechi is a candidate for two numbers... #9 and #10. If he gets none, he will jut hace to settle for #14 or #18... Or any other. But one thing is for sure... Kelechi will be back but who inherits these two iconic GWG numbers made universally popular by Yekini (#9) and Okocha (#10) is gonna be up for some little debate. safarigirl: |

OMANBALA1:Well I wanted to sugar coat him na ![]() He's the Shaun wright Phillips and Theo Walcott category of player with Only speed but little football sense, but they show few moments of usefulness when their speed becomes useful, like in the world cup. But overall their lack of technique and football sense usually be their undoing |

Humility017:Being young and energetic does not equate to physical prowess and dominance. Every league is different and they are not always the same quality and they all have different attributes and styles. For instance La Liga is very technical but not as Physical Fast and competitive as the EPL. This implies that each of these league will have different preferences with player selection. The Belguim league is not a physical league it's more technical based and isn't on the same quality in any way shape or form as the Bundesliga. The Scottish league has a low rating in Europe around number 20 but the Belguim league is number 8. Nonetheless, the Scottish league is very physical and requires players to have a good degree of physicallity. That's why Sadiq Umar completely flopped in Rangers but did above average in the Eredivisie just like the Belguim league it's not very physical. And Sadiq though tall is a paper weight. Essentially physicality is not an essential player requirement to excel in the Belguim. Why do you think Lukaku was destroying the league at 16 ❓ If I'm right he was the top goal scorer at 16.So your proposition assumption is wrong. Please do not misrepresent my comments, you can make informed predictions based on a player current attributes about a player but nobody can determine the future. My comments were specific , l reiterate with regards to the HERE and NOW Osimhen is very far off from Ighalo and is currently not the solution to Nigeria need for a striker CURRENTLY. |

darkelf:If I may proffer a solution... I pray Isaac success can rejuvenate his career and get his form back,he fits d position perfectly dan any Candidate we av at d moment, provided success take his career serious and get his form back nacho too is also gud,if he can get his form back, but I will prefer him to slug it out as a no 8 position/or playmaker role with iwobi ,and I wish nwakaeme shld b given a 2nd chance... But it seems ppu don't want to hear dt guys name again, but I believe he can come good,if d given d chance to proof himself again. ![]() |

Olulong:Look at my diction a good degree of physicallity. Odemwingie was a fast technical player that was deceptively strong. Otherwise how do you think he survived and even excelled in the EPL. |

TheSuperNerd:I was one of the people that had high hopes on Iwobi but the truth is the boy is over hyped. Its gradually becoming obvious Iwobi cant even keep a ball on his feet...so much for a "playmaker"....poor passes, zero aerial abilities, zero ball control and disgraceful physical strength for a boy born in Naija |

elyte89:All these guys you mentioned are a NO NO for any serious coach. Nwakaeme looks like he is the same age as John Ogu. Isaac Success is not serious and with all the starts he has been given, he has the goal ratio of an average defender Iheanacho will need one season to prove us wrong as yo why he needs a call up |

Bolowolowo:Balogun is still relevant as he is purely 31,if he is playing and not warming the bench then he should continue play ,unlike ogu who is only 31 but for real Na 41 |

OMANBALA1:I have said this before. Iwobi is just overhyped because he starts for arsenal. We need serious competition so that these guys would sit up. Iwobi is inconsistent and comparable to Ighalo in this regard. He needs to sot up as well |
