Yet Musa leads them in world cup goals

How mmany skills Inzagi get during his time?

What Musa lacks in Tech, he is got in speed and finishing.

The same Musa almost finished Mascherano, Romero and Otemandi careers with his 2 goals.
Are you going to judge Musa now with a goal he scored almost 2 years ago?

If that's the case let's invite Idowu and others

Aunty, Regionaliga isn't championship

There isn't any basis for comparison

I don't think he is good enough for the second team of the Super Eagles sef.

Ikeme was first choice in a team that was on the verge of gaining promotion to the Premier league.

This guy may not even be as good as Uzoho.
Ikeme was in the third division not so long ago, and this was in his 20's.

Is Maduka not a teenager? Where was Ikeme as a teenager? You did not even know him, I'm sure.

In ten years, when Maduka is in a better league, na people like you go dey shout "And we get better goalies for abroad o.....", but now, it is "he plays in Regionaliga"....are we calling him to be a first choice goalie?

I did not compare Regionaliga to Championships, I compared stages in both player's careers. He just rose from the ranks in Dusseldorf and is in their U23 team, hence the Regionaliga, but he is still the first choice there and plays regular football.

There is nothing wrong in calling up Maduka as third choice, it is not as if our current choices are playing in La Liga or the EPL.

Rohr already said he had his eyes on him, it is for a reason.

Everything you wrote was great until I read the name Iwobi....Iwobi has proven he has ABSOLUTELY nothing to offer with his one-two and very weak and embarrassing hold of the ball and now you want him to wear a 10 ?? Even Chukwueze cant wear the 10 yet....maybe Samuel Kalu and Etebor for now.
las las Iwobi go collect the #10

I was one of the people that had high hopes on Iwobi but the truth is the boy is over hyped. Its gradually becoming obvious Iwobi cant even keep a ball on his feet...so much for a "playmaker"....poor passes, zero aerial abilities, zero ball control and disgraceful physical strength for a boy born in Naija
lolz calm down bro. Am sure you will praise him to high heaven if he scores a match winner next match. See,am an arsenal fan ,I have watched iwobi countless time and i know a bit about what brought out the best in him. You can't expect iwobi to play well without any ball distributor behind him. At arsenal, there is xhaka,Ozil e.t.c. but who do we have in SE? cut the guy some slack.

You are actually right Mostob. Nigeria remains Africa's most consistent side in Afcon History.

3 Gold (Titles) + 4 Silver medal finishes + 8 bronze medal finishes

The consistency is top class. Undisputed. But we need a fourth title. The next final we get to, I'm sure we will win it. Afcon 2021 is a target... It is in Cameroun.
agreed sir

I'm talking based on current performance.

If we don't have better legs, fine.
When balogun played he didnt do badly

If he can be playing consistently for club side this new season then he should be there

If Okoye can not land a Bundesliga 2 club and play consistently, then, forget it, he aint worth the mention here and shouldn't be considered for the Eagles.

if na fine boy, shey Denis Osigwe no go dey my list?

Maduka Okoye's dedication to the NFF handle is why I defend him o. He always posts comments whenever the team plays, he's the John Ogu of the interner for the team, that is where my defense is from.

He keeps himself visible, he's involved, so, I like to encourage such behavior, hence my support.

Dem say Ebuehi pickd up a knock undecided

I no know say you get regular goal keepers for any top division team in Europe. Might I ask, who is worth your mention?

The regionaliga is more or less an Academy league. The Nigerian league is better than that, we can get decent goalkeepers here.

The dream team(U23) is there for him to display his wares for now, not the super eagles. He hasn't done nothing note worthy to pull on the Eagles shirt, even as a fift choice goalkeeper

Decent 20-year old goal keepers? You want Afelokhai or Femi to come and play as third choice goalies?

All the best goalkeepers that have ever played for the super eagles came from the league..
It's rather difficult for African goalkeepers to be first choice at top clubs in Europe, hence the local league is the first place to search for them.. Almost all the countries at this AFCON had a goalkeeper from their local league.. That Aloys Agu is just being lazy that's why we are still stuck with Ezenwa and Akpeyi for 3 years .
Maduka Okoye should join the u-23 .. The league he currently plays in is too low abeg..

Reading some comments here make me smile.

Can't believe some people here wants to hand over the SEs defense to Ekong and Omuero... Hahaha.

Leon Balogun is still much relevant. He only needs to get run of games and he 'll be back to his best again. Don't forget he is just 31. I mean 31.

forgiveness:
Well, he was the first choice last season before he lost his place through injury. This season he hardly played but I think he is a very good player.

He is also good at scoring goals.

However, he can as well play as LB.
I expected some more details, for instance l watched him play or seen him in training or l talked to hus coaches, these are his attributes and his deficiencies, etc, etc.

How many goals has he scored this season.

How many professional games, etc

It's just l haven't heard much about him and so I'm sure many others do too.

So tell me d tory about d player.

Our next competitive game is in November..
Which means we have September and October to play friendly games..

I hope Rohr and the NFF make the best use of it. We want fresh players to be tried in games against quality teams... Games against beatable but strong teams like Mexico, Qatar and Japan doesn't sound bad...
