THE TRUTH…

ENUGU STATE IS ONE OF THE LEAST DEBT PROFILED STATES IN NIGERIA

From the statistics recently released by the Debt Management Office (DMO) in respect of Domestic Debt Data for the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory as at December 31, 2018, Enugu State’s domestic debt stock, which was basically inherited from past administrations, is among the least in the chart.

See attached document from the Debt Management Office (DMO).

Keep it up, the people’s Governor…

Look at all the oil rich states JESUS. Osun own, I give up. Lagos, with all the abandoned projects of Ambode over 500billion? My question is always how do they intend paying back all these debts?

Lagos is indeed the center of excellence. This is just the domestic debt o.

The problem isn't just about the debt but about the fact that most of these debts are incurred to service the humongous recurrent expenditure occasioned by the greediness and flamboyant lifestyles of our present and past Chief Executives.

What do we have to show from these debts? Some emergency Billionaires, Decaying infrastructures, white elephant projects, abandoned and inflated projects.

There must be a day of reckoning

Edo has one of the highest debt profiles and yet, we have nothing to show for it. From Lucky Igbins to Oshiobobo and no w Obaseki, Edo has had it rough with their governors. Before ya'll might attack me and shout Obaseki is working and all such bullcrap, biko take a trip down to Edo and you'll see the difference between what the media are saying and the reality on ground. Apart from prompt payment of salaries, Obaseki has done nada in the state. I hear people talking about employment... Biko, I'll like to see the statistics of people he has employed into the civil service since the inception of his administration and the industries his policies has attracted. Na infrastructure? In his first four years, Oshiomole did way more in terms of infrastructural development... Tom Line, Ekenwan Road and other major roads in Benin city are in dire need of repairs. If only Edo can have a visionary governor who can tap into the agricultural potentials of Edo north and part of Edo south, the limestone and other solid minerals that abound in Ososo and Okpella not to mention the tourist potential that abound in Ososo and Benin kingdom and the undoubted human potential that abounds the length and breath of my dear state, we would be the only competition to Lagos.... And ya'll better stop hyping Obaseki. That ugly nincompoop is a failure.... Same as Oshiomole in his 2nd term

Just look at Lagos!

Lagos owes as much as 530 billion naira (which they probably would claim was used for infrastructural development), yet ikorodu road is now full of potholes(between onipanu to jibowu), lagos-badagry road is an eyesore (don't even travel on that road with a low bottom car) ,all the roads within agege local government are bad, Ikeja under bridge close to the general hospital still with enough potholes....etc

Pay attention to Yoruba states debt. Deceiving you with useless fake stats they are doing well, raking up loans and using Niger Delta oil money to service those loans. Ekiti IGR is bigger than that of all SE...deceiving you! The same Ekiti where I served, there is no more than 4 3-star hotel, barely any industry, then where the fucck is the IGR coming from? The day this country will separate, people will be shock to see these people worst than alamajiris as one nairalander said.

where is the correlation here? So what does being the most populous state has to do with this?

Is the money being used for social security ? Lagos has been constructing lagos-badagry expressway for 10 years , spending billions on it, yet there is no end in sight. The light rail they add to it sef, morocco has since completed theirs since, we just turned it to white elephant project.

Some civil servants that keep collecting salary, month in month out, do absolutely nothing at work.... as in nothing.... Many states are borrowing just to pay salaries (including for ghost workers, redundant workers and those that have sworn not to retire) and loot without them building ways to generate revenue.....
This is horrible....
At the end of this tenure, we might be seeing debts in trillions... I just pray naira doesn't get devalued again
