I've played many variations to the game but I still like the sf2 turbo and soft best. Though the graphics aren't as good as today's own.

Good old days saving hucks to play games. Zoeys chop boys money that year.
that used to be my favourite till street fighter ex plus alpha and street fighter ex 2 plus came out. Till this very day, both games are my favourite.

How I wish things could be like the good old days. It'll be nice to have such game houses around today. I'm yet to see a place where they play arcade in Lagos.

Opening such a place will be capital intensive though.

Seriously, you didn't enjoy City Hunter by Jackie Chan??.. Are you sure you saw the actual movie, because I could remember seeing that same movie with some friends some couple of weeks back & we were really cracked up from start to finish.
I had to struggle with sleep for 15 minutes before shutting down my system. I will continue that movie anytime I am EXTREMELY bored and have no other movie options.

Mekaprime did and I second it. You won't really enjoy it if you didn't live in the era of Zoeys, Raiders, Hecters (hope I spelt it right) and Mega Games. That's when Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, King of Fighters was in vogue.
Shoyuken! No matter how I hard i fought, I still managed to get whopped in the first 2 minutes of the combat. cheesy

I also played sf alpha on pc. Men j need to get those games again . Opening a game house now will be very expensive. The cost of arcades and electricity will almost ruin the owner. But hen again if you've got solid games, in tournaments and such it will be a hit.

Many gamers to day have their own consoles so tournaments will bring them out. Nice one Joe.

Meanwhile will be checking out Fargo tonight. Make I no derail.

A Van Damme film...

Yes Sir,
pls watch the movie first before beating the movie up with a tree branch, I know Van Damme comes across as a stereotype but like i said, I was impressed.

Luckily I watched the movie before checking the rating on google, and I was not disappointed, the almighty IMD rated it 5.7/10

but ...

Google users rated it 86%

so which would you prefer, the opinion of one guy that writes and article for an popular website or the opinion of millions of users?

Critics are humans same like us...
There's nothing special about their reviews.
I've agreed and disagreed with them, just like I would to any other person.
Imagine them giving Bright a negative review.

Some months back I said Bright was one of my best recent Will Smith movies, but it was like had a poor taste in movies when i said this. I wonder if its all movie that has to look like poetry.

I have had the movie Glass in my pc for a while now, and what kept me from watching it was the low to bad ratings you all gave it here. I decided to watch it this evening with an open mind and seriously y'all got the ratings wrong. The movie is really a good watch with hidden elements of how the world actually works. I give it a 7/10.

Word of Advice,
Watch the movie first, seek ratings later.

Bright was one of those films where I disagreed with critics.

It wasn't perfect, but twas good for what the film was trying to achieve on its own.

The world represented is something they can build upon.

He has a strange illness that has taken a serious toll on his strength, else Jackie Chan is his senior and he is still jumping around.

Ofcos, It was simply about racism something most people can relate with, the orcs in this case were the ones discriminated. I guess we all look for something different when watching movies.

It was entertaining
The bolded cracked me up, Wahlberg Cologne gave him up even with all the fake ascent. Yeah Dwayne Johnson aka the rock was in the movie.

The Street fighter Arcade game was featured in the movie. Jackie Chan together with the villains entered full gaming mode, they basically replaced the game characters. The fight scene in the Arcade was one heck of a rib cracker.

You would only attract youngsters. Nigeria doesn't really have a gaming culture.

I and a business associate organised a free gaming event for nairaland. Free drinks, free food.

Can you imagine that not one single gamer from nairaland came. Girls came for the drinks and food. The guys that came were already in my network.

I wanted to set up an arcade but that dream is dead. Na only mouth nairalanders get.

I don't think so bro. If a place like that is set up people will come, not just young stars but adults too. There are adults out there who lived in the era of arcades who still want to relive it now.

Nigeria have a gaming culture same way Nigeria have an anime culture. People play games just as much as they watch anime bro.

I bet before cinemas came to Nigeria people believed it won't make profit because they can easily watch movies in the confine of their homes.

If such a place could be resident in a place like ICM, people will come, it's as easy as that.

Where was the venue of your Nairaland gaming get together?

Cinemas always had appeal. There were cinemas in the 80s in Nigeria that were booming. I remember my uncles talking about cinema.house back in the day.

Gaming has always been niche. And our culture does not foster gaming. People here look at gamers as irresponsible. Ishilove can verify that for you.

My gaming event was in GRA Ikeja. Funny enough, it was walking distance to one former gaming arcade mentioned here

See this liar. After denigrating gamers, you are here forming nostalgia over street fighter in the 90s.

I dont blame you. I blame the whipped guys that believe your rubbish.
