to think our First Lady can think like this on accusations is a shame. she just judged with emotional, but don't want to investigate. very shameful. if u think what I said is bad, pray for accusations and judge without investigation. I pray both of them find justice and any culprit shud be punish. many people don't face great thing like what this man is facing before they commit suicide and when the truth now come out, no remedy again. I expected everyone to be neutral on this issue, but not in Nigeria. #saynotorape#

Thank you my brother,I think Aishat is intelligent than her husband before but with this singular comment am highly disappointed, perhaps she has *iron to grind with Fatoyinbo" as a first lady I expected her to be neutral at least for now and not to support a particular side based on hearsay.

No wonder her husband silent her, which means if she has power she would have asked soldier to go for Fatoyinbo's head just because someone raised unsubstantiated allegation.
Indeed woman will always be woman and Nigeria is not yet riped for woman to lead.

Enough of this,If someone accused you of rape and instead of filing a case she prefer going all over social media granting interviews by denting your image, will you fold your hands and keep quiet, knowing that your reputation is at stake ?So you expect police to go there house beaming with smiles because she is celebrity wife? All other innocent citizens that have been busted or invited by the police are they less human? We Nigerians are just being sentimental with the truth. If she is certain and sure of her allegations, let her follow up the case and not coming to social media to curry sentiment, social media is not a court of law.I hope and pray you will not be a victim of blackmail.

Regardless of what Timi or his wife said, the so called Pastor should not have a say on how the police carry should carry out their job.

They are of public service and as such should be nice but formal and not intimidating unless the Dakolos act otherwise. It is 100% clear that they are not following due processing but are simply fatoyinbo's goons.

The fact that you and other nigerians can't remove sentiment from this issue is perfect proof that we deserve whatever treatment given to us by the public officers because when our neighbor or someone we disagree with is oppressed, we justify it.

All these ranting ,let the Dakolos go and bravely prove their case ,this is a golden opportunity, evidences, witnesses etc will be needed to nail the assumed rapist, the social media sympathy will not help them,Nigerians will never assimilate data with facts as quick conclusions is usually a Lee way out for the half humans.

Aisha Buhari should understand that there is a great difference between rape victim and rape claimant?

Besides, it is not out of place for the police on the request of the accused to demand that the rape claimant jusitifes her accusations before she can be officially awarded the title of victim.
And justice meted out deservingly. How clean is ur house? Jonny English. He's not a politifcian

I am also confined to construe this attention to the IG of Police as an act of using office as a tool for obstruction of justice.
This is no case of intimidation but that of elucidation of misrepresented facts.

The Dakolos have just gotten the best opportunity to come out with their facts, I expected them to embrace it and defend their claims.
This is more than shouting #NotInMyChurch, #MeToo or floating a money-funnel NGO.

This is about setting the facts clear.
They need not call Segalink or RuggedMan when next a strange car comes near their dirty house unless they're confirming what the bible says about the wicked who run when no one is chasing.

Well, what do I even know?

Nigerians are watching u, Fato. U and your COZA gang.
U can saturate social media with coza and your paid operatives, but real Nigerians are watching u.

Here are some things people are saying:

“Sending a truck load of well armed policemen to invite a woman who claimed she was raped is just so very wrong. It says to the woman that the police is working for the accused, otherwise a couple of officers could have stopped by her house to deliver the letter in a none threatening way“

“A civil case local to Lagos that should be answered in a nearby police station in Lagos. How did it become a federal criminal case with lurking armed policemen from the IGP from Abuja suveiling a private citizen’s home and intimidating him to sign a paper to appear in Abuja”

Thank you.
I'm so happy this is a high profile case, and many high profile citizens are interested in the outcome. Imagine if Busola was lady married to a regular unknown citizen. Nobody would have listened. The husband sef would have been too busy looking for what to eat talk more of supporting the wife over a popular person of influence. Many victims of rape remain voiceless till this day. Most are not even believed and many are stigmatized including our male children.
We have to put a stop to it and let perpetrators know they can't always get away with it

It’s because of men like you women are scared of speaking up. There’s no right or wrong way to deal with trauma. She can speak up whenver she wants to.
Chai. And we still wonder why Nigeria is still the way it is? It’s because of people like you who jump to conclusions and spill trash. Since the police has intervened let the law take it’s course and quit your bedroom analysis and judgement.

The bus parked outside is there anyway to link it to Fatoyinbo??

What does Fatoyinbo stand to gain by sending armed men against the dakolos, to silent the dakolos from further revelation or what, as it is the allegation cannot hold water and will not stand in the court of law

1a... That her sister or family member that was around when he was raped, she will must testify

1b.. When Fatoyinbo left to rake Krest why can't she lock the door from behind and shout for help before he later return to whatsoever

1c... That her family that kept mute from reporting the issue to the police rather took it as it like a a grain of salt will have their days in court

2... Can we get Fatoyinbo Siemens from Busola after 18 years or any empirical evidence to further support busola's claim??

I am not saying Fatoyinbo did or didn't alI am saying is, as it is Fatoyinbo has nothing to fear and it will do him no good to silence the accusers unless someone is trying to further dent his image

They are using all tactics to court public sympathy.

I could as well say that you raped someone yesterday .
Were you there . Before you start calling someone a rapist. Something you never saw you are already talking as if you were there when it happened...
Just keep quiet and go back to that zoo were you escaped from. It is people like you that cause unnecessary unrest in the public.
Calling a man a rapist before the court or even the police have even proved anything.

People will always want to find fault in anything if it doesn't go their way.

Did they beat him, harras him or threatened his family?
Whether they go in a bus or carry guns, that's not a new thing in Nigeria.

We have been seeing policemen carrying AK 47,pointing it at innocent civilians or even walking around our streets like there is some form of riot did heaven fall?

Why is his own case different? Why must they try to make a mountain out of mole hills?

The man Dakolo should remember the law Maxim that 'he that alleges must prove beyond reasonable doubt' .Aisha Buhari should not intimidate the police to do their job under the First Lady's Office syndrome, for we don't understand how her office is switch to come on board each time this matter is mentioned while Nigerian Soldiers are dying,Headsmen are rampaging,Kidnapping is on the rise, yet no words of consolation!.Nigerians are watching this matter like football in their domain.we should also remember that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones, for the Singer and the Pastor's Ministry, everything is naked before God and God will not allow His name to be in mocked.

The only reason the likes of Abike, Oshiomole and Aisha are tweeting about this fiasco is because they want the case to take the spot like away from the daily occurrence in that God forsaken country called Nigeria.

Abike and Aisha didn't say anything when Fulani killed a prominent yoruba woman, the federal government even went as far as to defend the Fulani terrorist

I remember the case of one Funali who kidnapped a girl from the SS and took her to the north, I remember how the northern elite defended his action, rape happens on a daily in the north by imam's and alfa's but all these hypocrite dare not to talk about it.

More of the commentors here supporting Timi are doing so because they are either ladies or not Christian.

From the tone of response here, you'll realise how backward Nigeria is. Inviting or serving papers but with a busload of armed personel and a rather obtuse letter is the height of tyranny. In the case of the pastor, It isn't like this was the first scandal he's gotten implicated in. There's no smoke without fire.

The tone of the letter looks condescending and its a shock that it was written from one of the highest police offices in the country.
