yesterday I was arguing with some friends on which of the industry between sports and entertainment industry, is the biggest in terms of revenue generation.

Sport industry includes Football,basketball,tennis...etc


while entertainment industry include music,movies,comedy....etc

I need your opinions

Sports Industry
Tennis-Williams, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Woznaski, and Sir Andy Murray
Football- no need for mentions
Basketball-Curry, James, Kwahi Leonard, Harden,
Formula 1-Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel

The entertainment industry is the biggest on planet Earth, while the sports industry is the biggest in the Universe.

Do you include gaming as part of entertainment industry



If in terms of revenue generated,then entertainment industry beat sports industry(the amount gaming and Hollywood generate annually is out of this world).

I will go for entertainment industry

I think it's the sport Industry because some sportsmen don't really work but they are paid unlike the entertainment industry which are paid based on what they do

Sports industry is one huge industry, very vast than entertainment industry in terms of revenue generation.

Think of direct and indirect revenue generation:

Club membership.
Ticket.
Endorsement & Commercial sponsorship.
Kits merchandising.
Transfer fee of players.
Betting.
Media/TV broadcast rights.

Entertainment anytime any day
You’ll hardly come across anyone that doesn’t know any entertainment artist
But you’ll always come across millions that doesn’t even know 2 players in the club they support

All the people saying "sports", are you guys dizzy? Avengers end game alone has made $2.79 BILLION!! Let's not forget that entertainment also includes "porn".......

Sports. No contest. Entertainment is not as vast or lucrative as sports.
