We are always quick to blame the coach for everything.
How about the ineptitude of the management of our football?
No one knows what he went through all through the journey including having players boycotting training for non-payment of allowances during tournament.
Worst of it Amaju Pinick snubbing him after the 3rd place medals were issued.
Appalling! sad sad sad

The call for the sack of Rohr has gotten to the climax with top ex internationals calling for his sack

Former Nigeria goalkeeper, Peterside Idah, has called on the (NFF), to xack, Gernot Rohr, immediately.

Speaking in an interview on Channels TV Idah suggested that Rohr seems to be learning on the national team job, insisting the German lacks the capacity to take the Eagles to greater heights.

“For the Eagles to soar to greater heights, the coach should be sacked, let him go. Rohr was not prepared for this job. You don’t learn in the national team, you must come prepared to do the job.

“The coach kept chopping and changing the team which is a clear sign of weakness because the team lacks players that can fit into particular positions in the team.

“Feelings come to play in this. I think Rohr feels he has done well enough by taking us to the World Cup, qualifying for the Nations Cup and needs new challenge. I would be surprised if they (NFF) keeps him on the job,” Idah said.

He should go joor. He does not have a winning mentality. A couch celebrating third place position.

Renard, Overrated? You certainly don't know African Football. Renard took a lowly Zambian side to AFCON Victory in 2012. Repeated the same feat with Ivory Coast in 2015, who had become perennial underachievers.

Now Morocco is the most entertaining side in Africa. Did you watch 2018 World cup where they matched giants Spain and Portugal might for might?

Took 9 points from their group at the just concluded AFCON. Were only unlucky to be eliminated on penalties after missing a stoppage time Penalty.

Harve Renard is the best coach in African Football. Only coach that comes close is his former boss, Claude Le Roy, but you don't know him, do you?
i don't blame you, you are still a Novice as far as football is concern. Why could'nt he won it in 2015

Rohr set to quit as Super Eagles head coach

Gernot Rohr may leave his role as the head coach of the Super Eagles in the coming days.

The German led Nigeria to a third-place finish in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations, after they missed the last two editions.

However, Rohr has come under criticisms from certain quarters, for what some perceive as ‘lack of tactical nous’ or, in other words, an ‘inability to read matches’.

It is understood that the 66-year-old has told close associates, that he is uncertain if he wants to carry on.

“A lot of things have been going on but he has taken it all because he does not want to cause any controversy.

“But now, he is not sure if he will continue,” sources have told ESPN.

Rohr is due to meet Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick this week as part of that assessment.

And if both parties come to an agreement, a parting of ways might come sooner than most expect.

https://dailypost.ng/2019/07/22/rohr-set-quit-super-eagles-head-coach/

If Rohr should be forced to quit now, it will take Nigeria a very long time to get a coach as good as him.
The people seeking his resignation do not mean well for Nigeria football and it will be a step to be regretted forever.

The white witch doctor... Remember him from Senegal 92 were he coached Senegal or Cameroon. Ahhhhhh the good old days when a Nigerian match with Ghana or Cameroon was a duel with both sides having very good respect for the other. The era Abedi "Pele" Ayew, Jules Bocande, Cyril Makanaky and the Biyik brothers.

What does Peterside Idah know? Does he think being a coach comes easy? Constructive criticism is welcomed, but saying Rohr doesn't know what he's doing is not fair. Rohr has done well. There should be room for continuity.

Stupid Nigerians.. If we were Egypt or Morocco.... We would have killed the coach already..

Imagine Super Eagles that couldn't qualify for two consecutive sections all of a sudden want to sack a Coach because they didn't enter final.

Nonsense ingredients..

Some have underlying tribal tone to it..

Divide this country already..
Which indigenous coach have we not given chance from Austin, to Sia Sia, Christian chukwu, Oliseh.. Even Omokachi... Only Stephen Keshi performed well because he was stubborn with the management on how to handle the Team..

After two years of trying we then settled for a foreign coach.. Though not a noise maker but result oriented... All of sudden everybody want a tactical coach that can read games as if the ones before him can read games and yet flop..

I like the Man originality.. Since we as a nation don't know how to handle imperfections and mistakes instead we wants to destroy anything that is not yet perfect.. We will keep dwindling in backwardness
GOD bless u said it all the guy have qualify us for 2 tornament without calculators even at the nation cup group stage he qualify us 4 round of 16 comfortably it seems nigerians like calculators let him go so that they can appoint their siasia and watch other nations play at the world cup and natiön cup. Useless country

My own problem is that, isn't N60 million naira a month too much? if he was paid N10 million for his achievement so far monthly, I will say it's OK but N60 million? and you can't put up a classic team that can get to quarter finals in the world cup? perhaps someone else in the helm of affairs is sharing part of that money with him. Good luck sha but we'll always have an average team with Rohr, at least they don't give us panic attacks in qualifying for competitions any longer.

If you talk of qualifying us for tournaments that's a good point but talking about qualifying for round of 16 in AFCON against Burundi, Madagascar, and the likes is not an achievement, they are not in our pedigree for goodness sake our loss to Madagascar is almost unpardonable.
