backward ever, forward never people. Where is the continuity? One wasted taxpayers money to erect it, another is using taxpayers money to remove it. I understand that our politicians are clueless, but don´t they have advisers that actually are intelligent? because this is a waste of resources, 1 Like |

Peacemaker5129: Quit sounding like a complete moro'n! This is strictly a Imo affair and has nothing to do with you, so what's the nexus between Ihedioha removing all these pretentious rubbish defacing the state capital and Hausa/Yoruba? Are you so insecure and full of bile that you always look on Igbo affairs with bitternes....always yapping about how Hausa and Yoruba are being hard-done-by Ndigbo? I suppose, according to you the Hausa and Yoruba are minding their own business, with a saintly halo hovering over their heads, while the 'big bad Igbo' are always looking for any given opportunity to blame them for anything, and the reverse is never the case!? 2 Likes |

dirtydiva: He's on the right track! We wouldn't be here today if Rochas had spent the money he used buying and building all these rubbish on real development like provision of reticulated pipe-borne water supply; adequate primary healthcare; solid and durable town and rural roads (and not the substandard rubbish he built all over the state); greening up the state capital with trees; etc! If Rochas had provided real development and not spent scarce resources on all these pretentious crap like tower; fake palm trees; overhead bars; and ugly statues, Ihedioha would have have now been able to concentrate solely on real development like some of you are demanding he does! 1 Like |

Natoski5: I live in Owerri. Those iron bars were not strongly-fixed (like most of Okorocha's jobs) and they fall during heavy rain and winds, posing serious danger to motorists and pedestrians. Ihedioha has also commenced clearing and desilting of all gutters in Owerri metropolis (something Okorocha never did in his eight-year stint as governor), but the opposition won't report that. Those of us who live in Owerri are already seeing what the new governor is doing. Let the opposition and keyboard analysts who have never set foot in Owerri keep talking nonsense. 2 Likes |

He should remove them ASAP. Those things are death traps. Same with the roads Rochas built. China projects with over bloated costs. |

emmancipated: Ihedioha is already down for business considering his moves and policies since he took over. Follow Imo politics before you spit inciting comments'. Those cross bars are purely counter productive as in no meaningful investor will consider Owerri as an investment destination on the reason that haulage trucks cannot move freely. The iberiberism governor did not consider the heights of truck with containers when he devised the foolish beautification. Considering the know fact that the past administrations projects lacks quality one fears those iron pose a threat to life of the road users as well. Ihedioha consults before he acts , he is not like Rochas the Mr. Know it all. |

Ihedioha should hit the ground running with his own projects and stop wasting time undoing what another man has done. Four years will soon go like smoke screen and there would be nothing to show. A word is enough for the wise |

As wasteful as some of Mr. Okorocha's initiatives were, the fact is that they were done with taxpayers money. Might surprise you to find out how much it is costing Imo State to dismantle some of these things. The question is: is it necessary? At this rate, it seems to me like Mr. Ihedioha will spend his tenure in reverse gear. I hope he moves forward soon. |
