A New York family was going through their normal daily routine when they discovered an alligator swimming in their private pool.

The father, Joe Baron who resides in Bayport, Long Island, said he was going through his normal daily routine of checking-out the pool’s filler before going to bed around 7:30 p.m. when he noticed a Baby Alligator swimming in the pool; probably escaping the heat.

When Joe Baron discovered the Alligator, he called on his kids and they managed to pull the alligator out with a pool skimmer, thereafter, they placed it in a fish tank.

Joe Baron was quoted saying; “At this point, I’m just stunned. A frog you get once in a blue moon, but an alligator, not in a million years,”

“Then he jumps from the filter and starts swimming all around the pool!”

Joe Baron also revealed that they are trying to pick a cool name for the baby-alligator which they now regard as a pet. He was quoted saying; “The kids are coming up with all different names: Chomp Chomp, Titan, Rex – they couldn’t decide, that was a big conversation last night,”

Baron also revealed that he intends handing over the alligator to his brother-in-law who works with the country’s’ Center for Science Teaching and Learning.

Imagine...dem dey find name 4 d alligator..wen 4 nigeria we 4 dey find names of local spices to take arrange d peppersoup.

The alligator really needs to thank whatever god that its serving....

I used to see Alligator back then at my former site. They are always scared of humans and once sited ,they took to their hills.

I had seen the one that looked like a crocodile before, very big and scary .

This is just the difference between the white and Africa. Over here some people would have started referring to it as Devil, other would kill it, but look at how a developed country with patriotic individuals handled the issue.

Let me guess the location before checking...

1. My enemies will never see me, calls pastor and neighbors they assist in catching the alligator then dey burn it while reciting a prayer

2. chei see meat.. Calls neighbors they assist in catching the alligator then butcher, cook and digest it with a bottle of star.

Either way the the alligator go die

Well in naija those who have swimming pools in their houses wont est the gator but probably the Gateman and his friends will say for the safety of the family let them kill it.

Followed by the sweet smell of egusi soup filled with bony meat.
