She is actually free, all the sentencing as indicated will run concurrently, which mean even if she did not pay back the 11million out of the 38millions; the max she will serve will be 2yrs.

With good time, she will out to enjoy her millions in 1yr, who say crime does not pay?

And if she does not have 11m to repay the bank, she serves additional 18months in prison. How is this lenient? All sentencing to run concurrently. Meaning the highest sentence of 2 years or 24 months is what she will serve. All other ones falls under. Even the additional 18 months, is still in the concurrent. So in the end she spends 16months in prison. (2 years is 16 months) in prison calendar. She stole 36m serves 1 year 4 months in prison. Hmmmm.

I thought the 18 months would commence after the end of the first sentence. Never knew it was to run concurrently with the rest.

If she opts to serve the 18 months sentence rather than refund the 11 million Naira, the bank can still institute a civil case against her for the said amount and claim General damages.
