Am about to put my 3rd batch. Of broilers Gods willing this week, I have a Very huge loss on my second,and my 1st was a successful one.

Am going to be posting update and will be seeking advice from except.

Go for tall breeds like Ross 308 or Cobb 500 but remember your feeding must be very good to see the performances of especially the Ross 308.

Goodday house. Oga Emmaachile and Oga Turks I dry greet una. Thank all of u for this platform. I started my first poultry recently, they're 5wks today. I wnted 2 sell at 2wks but mkt was slow den. I also followed the timetable given here. I started with the bitterleaf treatment wen dey're 3wks, I wasn't consistent sha, so I lost like 19birds; 10 escaped 2ru d broken doornet, 9 of greenishyellow poo - I treated with bitterleaf, triple sulfur and ETS WSP Mix.
On Sunday, a man introduced me to gwogworise (dat black tin used to treat plenty human disease dem plus wound), he said I shud mix with adamacin nd I'll never lose a single bird again. I gave dem for two days (found dat it made sense lose appetite), gave dem fresh water and bitter leaf 4 2days again - plus lst nite.
I came dese mawin 2 c dem all tayad nd down, one died �, many pooing white and yellow, sum even blood sef - I can't even bring myself 2 go 2 work again 2day. Pls house wetin I fit do. What's blood poo - blood! Pls help me!

Get embazin forte, introxin pd...and give them. It will stop /cure the blood stool.
Give virocidal or royal combat or any other drug that will cure Newcastle disease because from your explanation they have the disease.

Mix all the drugs and vitamin give them fast if not.....

I had an ugly experience of receiving birds of different birds breed in a different carton.

The agent blamed d driver and driver blamed the agent, las las I never got the birds I paid for.

Please can you recommend a good agent and driver of integrity.

What kind of feed are you giving them

I must say I am very grateful for the contributions of each and everyone of you on this thread....
Story short, I ventured into poultry farming for the first time in my life about 4 weeks ago... And with the help of EMMACHILE (God bless this man), I was able to start a 200 zartech birds, this Thursday would make it 4 weeks, mortality so far is 1 which happened on the third day of arrival.

Hybrid..Hybrid representative came to see them today and said the problem is not from feed.suspecting marix vaccine which was to be administered from the day they were hatched.i ended up giving them the vaccine.i lost 10 of them today.

Thank you Emma.i started them with liquid calcium and powdered one added to their feed.Also brought a vet doc to give them Marek vaccine.between yesterday and today I have lost about 30 birds.while about 30 more are still affected.
