PLEASE PUT MOST OF YOUR EFFORTS ON NONFICTION
My teaching on this thread is not based on luck or hearsay. I published my first book in June 2012 though I started gathering materials from November 2011. I've personally uploaded over 100 books (for myself n others). From personal experience, d experience of people around me, d books I've read n videos watched, nonfiction is d best category for anyone who wants regular kindle income.
I have said it previously. Fiction has a very high failure rate n d competition is high.
With nonfiction, you can find niches where you can publish books that will keep selling for years. Some of my last year's books have sold 300 to 500 copies so far this year n they will continue selling in d coming years becos they are in evergreen niches.

Morning Sir
Please can you give a niche to write on in non fiction. I have food recipe but then I need another.
Thank you for the help over the years.

You are like 3 years late with your advice. Wish I got it years ago. This was what i was saying when i said keep African things to Africa

If you publish Nigerian style novels on Amazon no one will buy it. It took me years to realize that it was my novel not amazon was the wahala. we are talking about novels that were best sellers on Okadabooks and nairaland literature section, mind you.

I no longer write nigerian books

I was reading as usual and decide to check up on you.
By the way, do you still write fiction?
What is your sale and experience so far.

Fiction only pays if you are a natural storyteller but you must also be will to do a lot of giveaways. Will be publishing one novel this week. The fist of a series. It will be free but the rest will not.

What are the giveaways. Do you do the writing your or you outsource.
How many units have you sold on audible or ACX.

Sorry for the many questions o.

I just need to choose between nonfiction and fiction.

Choosing a niche for nonfiction writing has been a major challenge.

What if i dont have money to run facebook and other ads in promoting my ebook? Is there still a way to market the ebooks to a wider audience and thus be able to make sales? For should i forget about kndle epublishing without funds for running ad campaigns?

You don't need to run any type of advert to promote your book. Just ensure it is a keyword based book. Keyword based books start selling within days sometimes within a few hours of publishing.

The answer is in the post you quoted. I create ONLY keyword based books. They propagate naturally and start selling within a few hours or days.

build an email list (takes time)
run ads (takes money).
the application of time = money
the good things in life = money.

Authority websites on the topic, PDFs, paperback books
Check as many sources as you can to confirm the authenticity of the information.

Correction: its not a false author name.its called a pen name. It is completely legal.

hello bro, i will need clarification on this. Wouldnt a pen name affect your main registration on kdp as well as transactions? Cos,i guess we are advised to use our real name so it will match with our bank acct details for easy transaction. I would prefare a pen name than using my real name. Please someone should speak extensively on this. Thanks

Pen names have nothing to do with the name in your account (your real names). Pens names are strickly for your books. A pen name is just a way to give buyers of the book the kind of author name they expect for the type of book you have created. It's also a sensible approach when you have books on different unrelated topics.

Amazon and other publishing platforms deal with your real person when it comes to account issues, payments etc. But they know you are the one behind those pen names.

I once opened a payoneer account back in 2016 and my card was sent to me but I never got to use it and even discarded it. However, upon coming across the amazon KDP, I logged into my payoneer account and I was told it is blocked. I sent them a mail on if this can be fixed but since Thursday I havent heard from them. What do you suggest I do? Can I go ahead to open a fresh account and request for another card? Also note that in 2016 I opened another account with the same email I used as the first, using my elder brothers' name for the card and not my own name because I dont think I had a valid means of ID then. I am concerned about having to register afresh for a new card and getting blocked or even when I start having funds in the card through amazon KDP and having it blocked....kindly advice please.

For the issue of block of card. They block my card many times when inactive for security reason . I never send email to them before , there is a place there just reactivate it again. Or has the rules change?

dat is d shortcut to account banning. Kindle is highly allergic to PLR,MRR and the likes.strictly original work dat cannot be found online easily.
seriously, how do we go around an issue such as this. In the process of developing your content, via research of google for instance, you may unconciously lift materials or contents from other people's work. How then can one write unique contents. Am curious

It's difficult to find cheap quality narrators outside of ACX.

If you can't access ACX narrators, I'd advise going to upwork, creating a job post indicating your desire to hire a narrator, specify the rate you're prepared to pay etc. People will apply for the job. You screen them and eventually hire one of them to narrate your work.

Thanks for your quick response. I really appreciate. Please I had been having failed royalty payment recently from amazon UK because the GBP payment details for payoneer doesn't correspond with amazon own. Is only the Euro payment details that have 16-33 characters. But the GBP ONLY have 8 Iban characters and sort code is 6 characters. What do I do?
I have sent to Payoneer support am waiting for their response.
