The Presidency has reacted to the viral video of abducted aid workers released by Boko Haram.

Recall we reported earlier that one of the abducted aid workers, Grace Taku pleaded with the Federal Government, CAN and other agencies to come to their aid.

Reacting to the video, the Presidency said it has been briefed by the responsible government agency about the disturbing video of humanitarian aid workers held captive. The FG also gave assurances that contact is being made as the captors are currently being talked to.

The statement released by President Buhari's media aide, Garba Shehu reads;

The Presidency has been briefed by the responsible government agency about the disturbing video showing our citizens, the humanitarian aid workers held captive.

Presidency has been given assurances that contact is being made and the captors are being talked to.

Beside these aid workers, there are some others about whom this engagement is about-Leah Sharibu, a religious leader and all the others. These discussions have been ongoing even before this time and what this latest incident has done is to bring urgency to the efforts that the secret service is making.

Government is making contacts, in the hope that the captors will see reason to not visit hardship or even harm on these innocent individuals.

The FG also gave assurances that contact is being made as the captors are currently being talked to.

The captors are currently being talked to on how much they should be settled with, just the way they've been settling them with heavy cash instead of buying ammunition and equipping our intelligence unit.

And you still ask why Boko Haram haven't been crushed after all these years..... Boko Haram is a business, a very lucrative one at that.




I only pity the southern soldiers that are being sent out on a daily basis to be used as target practice by the terrorists.

The way the whole fight against bandits, herdsmen, boko haram etc is handled shows a very disturbing level of incompetence, indifference and lack of results oriented focus on core issues.
Basically the government is trading the lives of it's citizens!
Syria is at war and lost 20,000 people.
Nigeria not officially at war but 25,000+ dead in one year.

All they do now is react.

They keep reacting while things keep getting nasty each day.

No one deserves to be compelled to adhere to a specific religion irrespective of which one is it. I'm a Muslim who would find it intolerable to be compelled to accept another religion, likewise I'll never ever force my religion on others. ME TO MY WAY, YOU TO YOUR WAY

In the end, TRUTH is relative. What you hold so dear as the truth might be absolute falsehood to others. Respect their belief. LIVE, AND LET'S LIVE should be our societal guideline for tolerance

Sorry but she only died a foolish death, even Peter denied Jesus 3 times and was forgiven. There are so avoidable death but stubborness took her to the world beyond. May she rest in peace.
