Good day gurus in the house, please which city is better for students life generally and students job between
Erlangen and Weimar

I got admission from FAU - Msc Computational Engineering

And Bauhaus University Weimar- Msc Natural Hazard and Risk in Structural Engineering

I would say choose FAU. Why? You have the choice to live and hustle in Nürnberg.

Thanks for this inspiring piece
I' m a female computer science graduate(second class upper) with no experience except a 6months internship.
I would love to go for MS in information systems or information engineering because I don't really like coding and maths.
Please my question goes thus.
1)which school/city can u recommend as I don't have money to renew the blocked account in the following year?
2)Also I would love a city where I can get internship during my studies so as to gain some work experience
3) Is it only programmers that are in demand in Germany?what are the chances for other fields in IT?
4)I would appreciate if u think there are other courses that are good as well. Thanks and God bless.

You don't like coding and maths...HAHAHAHA.

Nigerian education is a joke. Please, when you come, don't say it loud that you hava a Bsc. in CSC and don't know how to code.

If you think Computer science is only about coding and maths and there are no other areas of specialization, then you are the JOKE here and probably need to go back to school for proper education.
If u don't have an answer to my question, kindly take several seats and allow the ones that do to help out.

Good day amazing people.

I would like to sponsor my younger brother to study in Germany his qualifications are (NECO= two seatings) and National diploma in mechanical engineering.

Please can this be done and I'll be glad to find someone who can help in getting admission for him, I don't mind to pay. Thank you y'all
Re: Nigerian Students In Germany..how Do You Survive?? by uptimum123(m): 11:18am On Jul 26, 2019
You can use Hnd or a 100l transcript for admission

1. Berlin, Bonn
2. Seems like one can get internship during the third semester or so. It depends on your school though. But I think it's possible.
3. I think the other fields in IT are also in demand.

4. The thing about Germany is that most schools admit students on a consecutive basis i.e your previous education must be closely related to the masters you're applying for. So you should be applying for a course related to Computer Science so as to boost your chances of getting admitted.

You said you made a 2.1. Once you arrange your CV and motivation letters very well, you should get admission and don't avoid UNIASSIST.

I saw what you wrote about maths and coding. Well, it may be quite difficult for you to survive a masters in a computer related field if you don't have coding and maths skills.

Is it that you have no passion for them or you weren't taught well. If it's the latter, I will suggest that you sign up for coding classes. People who know coding did not come with it from heaven, they learnt through practice. With constant practice, you can get it too. I heard programming is very profitable in Germany.

But if you have a natural aversion for maths and coding, then I would advice you go for another BSc in Germany in a field that you love. You mustn't go for a masters. After your BSc, you can still secure a job with it and you will adapt easily.

Going for a masters in Computer Science related field like the Information Systems you mentioned may be too tedious for you.

I wish you well. Jesus will see us through.

sorry is my younger brother and I stated his qualifications.

Do you mean there's no hope until help finishes his HND, or is there anyway he can get 100l transcript from a university he didn't attend?

Noun is a better option, registration is on now and closing on the 3rd next month i think.

My small bits, it helped me and it may help you too,

1) Sign up on codeacademy, choose a path and complete it.
2) Look for books to compliment what you do not understand. ( Illegal: library genesis cool )
3) Practice(take up a small project (to do app) and code your way thru it, it may be a copy-paste work, but make sure you type every code.
4) Try and add some functionality to the code. This deepens your understanding of the concept
5) If you have issues, use google, stackoverflow.
6) Repeat step 2, 4, 5

If you have money, register at Pluralsight and choose your path.
Finally, you definitely will repeat step 2,4,5,6 should you register on any Video tutorial site. Youtube is good but it's really difficult filtering junk from hardcore stuff.
If you are interested in Web design, follow Traversy Media on youtube, he is good.

All in all, you need motivation, dedication, and discipline to scale thru.

NB: look for a friend to start the journey, it is always easier for two heads to crack a nut.

Thanks so much for your response, I will rate myself average in maths and I just started learning coding on udemy. I just don't see myself been a programmer/ software developer forever,so I was thinking about other fields that require little or no coding.
So far,I have been able to research other fields in IT which I will be applying for.
Thanks for taking ur time to understand and respond to my questions,I really appreciate it.

It's very obvious you are a senseless fellow, a nincompoop and a dust brain. You could have just shut ur trap of a mouth since you knew u didn't have an answer to my questions. U must not reply everything, especially if u don't have an answer #thankGodsaymannobeGod #mumu

And this came out of a 2.1 graduate indeed?? SPEECHLESS.
The problem with the world is that everyone does not have a brain, but everyone does have a tongue.
Insulting and name-calling online say a lot about your intelligence. I need not say more.
I will not argue with you, because stupid people, will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

And just like Darwin said, ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Enjoy your spotlight.

Miss, please do not be discouraged. Programming is only one part of computer science and there are other parts to it like

1. User experience design
2. Software Testing and Quality assurance
3. Project/product management
4. Networking

And many more. I have friends who graduated with 1st class in CS and doesn't know how to code. So don't be worried. The issue is schools in Germany many require you to code, so you might just have to learn the basics.

For example User Experience designers earn twice the salary of Programmers, but a lot of people dont know.

Prof prof.. this is not the thread for school enquiries. Since I also did Applied Geophysics, let me chip in some school for you to avoid delay. However please note I won’t be able to answer further questions so as not to derail the thread, it’s against the rule. Check out:
LMU Munich
CAU Kiel
RWTH Aachen (not tuition free)
Enjoy.
