Oh! grin
Okechukwu is tried and tested in SE, Olympics and even in top flight football.
As soon as he starts playing for Basaksehir, there will be no argument.

Azubuike okechukwu

Azubuike is more than a destroyer. He has a wonderful passing range. I want to watch him this season though before reaching a conclusion.
Aribo is more like Ndidi, MAYBE a lower grade in terms of tackling and making interceptions. But I think he will offer more in attack.

charlesemeka85:
grin I disagree the aribo I have watched play is better than azubuike and will offer more to the team that the latter. Azubuike is just a destroyer and we already have an ndidi and etebo who are miles better than him.

Is he better than Anderson esiti who plays the same role as him?

I think Esiti could still be an option if he can impress Rohr this time, especially as Ogu is near retirement. Esiti brings physicality and is good on duels. But will he impress if given a second chance? We'll never know until we invite him.

andrew444:

Zuby is a central Midfielder while esiti is a pure DM, DM is the only place esiti can play

Zuby can play both, but is position is CM

You are rating Aribo with english league 1 appearance?

hahahahahahahahahaha

is Aneke better than Akpom? We have two "lions in a lower league" here

Don't put Zuby and Nwakali in the same box bro lol

modified
That would be VERY unfair

charlesemeka85:
Bros that's same truth is what I'm saying about azubuike. He is not good enough and not better than the few good ones we have.

He will only get a look in when siasia takes over but with Rohr I doubt such will happen. Him and Nwakali should remain in the u23

I think Chuba Akpom is gradually getting back to form

Last season's performance will be a child's play compared to how Nigerian players will perform this season

And nobody should tell me that Rohr has no part in it

Aneke? We have another versatile player in our hands. He just needs to perform in the Championship, and there will be no question about it.

I even rate Esiti more than zuby, no reason my argument o

But esiti has been a pure DM , dem better pass ogu, ogu just sabi score goals pass them and thats it.

This is the first time in a long time that Nigerian players have been given a level playing ground for selection

The players know that your performances is what brings you to the notice of the national team handlers not man-know-man and that is an added motivation

Many people will still argue your first paragraph.
But I agree that Rohr has been relatively fair. I will score him about 85% in terms of getting the players we can easily get. In terms of getting players with dual-allegiance, he's been trying. But who has done better in that dept?

Zuby would have justified it I believe. Let's not throw the hammer on Siasia. If you do your research on his squad in that double header against Egypt, you wouldn't see much difference compared to the current team.

Rohr has sent out invitations to 7 foreign born players, 4 have been successful 3 have not. I think that's the most in Nigerian football history

But una still want to crucify the man sha

Exactly. No coach has done better in that department.
But it's not like Rorh changed the entire team over time. At least he still has about 50% or maybe 40% of the players he met.
I think Siasia would have brought in a player like Ndidi who has been a full fledged premier league player.. no coach fit play wayo reach that one oh. Ambrose would still have been a SE player. Maybe Amuzie interestingly. Siasia liked that guy a lot. Goal keeper Emanuel Daniel would have been in the SE fold instead of Uzoho.. I just dey guess oh.. I no be Siasia brother o

No he didn't, but he gave a good account of himself in that very match after he replace Etebo. Don't also forget he went to the Olympics in 2016 as one of our important players. This will be the second time he is in the U23 team.

Siasia would have helped Daniel's development. I remember he was SPLENDID when Nigeria played Brazil in a pre-olympics friendly.

The truth is EVERY coach has their bias. They are human beings. The question is how bad is their bias?
