Even a fool will be stinking rich if he had the kind of support Dangote gets from the government. Dangote's businesses do not survive were there is competition i.e. a free market. He uses government to create a monopoly for him to thrive.

Dangote is doing more harm than good to Nigerians.
Infact Nigeria is now a Chinese and Indian colony, all thanks to Dangote.
He imports his pressure vessels from China and India while we have very competent coys in Nigeria like Nigerdock, Aveon, Saipem that can fabricate them and still create good employment.
Infact 50% of workers in the Refinery/fertilizer projects are Indians, 20% are Chinese and the remaining 30% are Nigerians who receive the least pay.

Thank God he is focusing on the product the country has comparative advantage in.

Shame he is still demanding that government bans the importation of refined fuels. That's just plain wrong as he would have monopolistic and risk free profits.

A ban is therefore unnecessary but rather import duty of 5% should suffice.

No need for these rhetorics, Nigerians need to brace up for the worst. When Dangote completes that refinery, NNPC will stop importation of fuel and the govt would fully deregulate the downstream sector. Implication is that Dangote would be a full blown monopoly as the single supplier of 90% of Nigeria's petroleum products, and the Dangote we know will not sell his petrol even for N200.

Dangote is on the verge of holding Nigeria by the balls but unfortunately, both the govt and other Nigerian businessmen are all sleeping. When the time comes, the wailing and the bad-belle will be epic.
