I mentioned this last night on the earlier thread and some NL kids won't let me be.

Same GLO network that Huawei shut down their 3G service a few years back. I mean, in saner climes, Huawei would have gone to court and taken possession of GLO.

GLO only exists to launder Baba's image. He doesn't care much about the money from GLO.

bLacKGoLd3:
MTN is doing the right thing.
GLO is a poorly managed telecoomunications operator and owing huge interconnect fees, so MTN has refused to terminate their calls.

GLO owes everybody! Even small time vendors are not spared their show of shame.
But guess what network the Adenugas use when GLO has network issues? Yes, you guessed right - MTN!!!

If not for a very useless, toothless and visonless regulatory governance from NCC, MTN would have blown the likes of GLO into extinction.

Any Investor who is unfortunate enough to dispose of his stock during government take over of a company and waits for a new take over definitely is a bad investor

Nigerians HEAD MTN NG Board. Remember MTN NIGERIA, is different from MTN...these are two companies with a parent holding in SA. Do not think MTN SA has anything to loose, their infrastructure alone on Nigerian Telecom space will take us back to Phone boot Era.

You know what market panic is? Investors don’t care about the loses if they follow the trail of the new investor and finds them not worthy enough. It is better to loose a penny today or allow your new investors run you dry all because you had hopes without a business plan.

Major share holders still remains the south africans, and they havent had any major IPO to offload their stocks on Nigeria except for a few private stocks here and there owned by few Nigerians, so not only will South africa bleed cos of mtn Nigeria, their Government would actually come begging on their behalf
Re: Glo Owing MTN N10 Billion In Interconnectivity Fees - BusinessDay by edibobo: 10:27am On Jul 30, 2019
NCC should come up with the modality whereby all deductions from subscribers charges especially the one meant for interconnectivity be deducted and forward directly without recourse to the source providers.

Earlier today on Nairaland a thread claiming MTN deliberately tossed interconnections from Glo to MTN as a result of Xenophobia made Front Page NairaLand .But the truth is that Glo is the one owing every single network Interconnectivity fees in tens of billions of Naira even though they all pay Glo it's own Interconnectivity fees.. it's a shame that Glo instead of trying to clear it's debt despite pressure from the NCC has resorted to deploying emotional sectarianist driven blackmail against those it owes citing Xenophobia as the reason why it's calls are being refused interconnection instead of the truth that Glo has refused to remit Interconnectivity fees despite collecting it from it's subscribers.

You guys keep hating over nothing. South Africa as a nation got absolutely NOTHING to lose if MTN NG shuts down.

Many of you don't even know that MTN is the largest shareholder @ JUMIA. If MTN NG goes, Jumia automatically shuts down, and never to recover. Note that MTN also own shares worth billions across many Nigerian businesses.

Nigerians are some of the most ignorant people on earth. A lot of folks here just talk anyhow. Some of us are yet to recover from the senseless talks about TSTV being an alternative to DSTV.

A sensible people should at least sit back and reflect about the national disgrace, but NO! the stupidity is so much that many folks here still yarn nonsense over some xenophobic sh!ts.

Too much ignorant and disgusting talks here. Spits!

How can MTN disrupt the services of another telecom without the knowledge of the said telecom and NCC?

i hate to insult you but you sound so low in IQ that it , MTN parent company in South africa pays tax to South Africa, Its major share holders are South Africans, and One of its most biggest and most sustainable market is Nigeria, however disgracefull lowlife Nigerians with acute Inferiority Complex would still serve them for this, who told you if MTN pulls out of Jumia or their other business intrest Nigerians arent capable of taking back and stabilizing those company through amcon, or through selling MTN shares via and IPO to Nigerians...

this is why an uneducated Asian or persian comes into Nigeria to use you all as slaves in your own country and you still thank him for giving you jobs as a slave

MTN cannot blow the likes of GLO into extinction because MTN themselves are very lawless and have personal issues with NCC. We need our very own network provider like GLO atleast, even if it is for bragging rights.

Have you ever gone to MTN office for something? They act like their Embassies

NCC is toothless............

My guy stop shading NCC on this issue..

Earlier this year, NCC had notified the public that such experience would occur if debt owing network don't pay their debt... A deadline was also given for defaulting operators.. What else do you want them to do..

The issue cover all network operators in Nigeria.. If you are owing and you don't pay your debt, you get disconnected..

Glo should swallow the blame and not NCC
