I hear recent updates about AMS Ads not converting nor blazing as it used to and prices of placing ads has also gone up. Whats the implication for this especially for new publishers?

Made $11,730.86 in the month of June

Apparently, I surpassed even my own estimation for June. The ACX payment invoice just came out today and apparently, I made $6256.5 from Audiobook sales (instead of my estimated $5085). This means that my total earnings from publishing last month was over $11,700. Words can't explain how I feel at the moment..it's incredible

Income breakdown

KDP (ebook + KENP) = $1447.62
KDP Paperback Sales = $4026.74
Audiobook Sales = $6256.50

Total Earnings = $11,730.86 (N4.22 million)

This is quite frankly the most I've made in a month so far. It also means I've surpassed $74,000 (N26.6 million) in total earnings so far in 2019

Will this motivate you to get started? I don't know what else you're waiting for

I started this business a little over 2 years ago and it has completely surpassed all my expectations. My assets continue to make money for me 24/7 round the clock whether I'm there or not. Tell me another business model that beats that

Naturally, the more people know about AMS and use the same strategies the more expensive it'll be for everyone since everyone is bidding for a limited space.

If you have the budget to run ads, run them. Otherwise, don't. It's not for the faint-hearted

The more competitive the niche, the more you have to spend on Ads since there's a lot of money to be made and everyone wants a piece of it.

If you're a beginner and you don't want to spend a lot on ads, my advise is to go for an obscure niche where there isn't a lot of competition...although it may not be as profitable but at least you won't have to fight it out with a lot of other publishers with deep pockets

As your budget and marketing skills grows with time, you'll have the financial muscle and specialist knowledge required to compete in more profitable and brutal niches

If you implement the strategies in the blueprint, you'll be fine relative to most others because you'll have multiple assets with good exposure. You'll also have a higher chance of making a good return on your investment

It's not about the quantity but the quality of your email list. A list of 2000 subscribers who are very engaged and eager to buy from you is better than a list of 10,000 subscribers who couldn't care less what you have to offer..they're just on your list for free stuff. You want to avoid those.

That being said, email marketing is just one component of your entire marketing strategy. You have to maximize exposure for your book (paid or unpaid exposure). If you own the blueprint, then you'll know that the bonus tip I mentioned under Strategy 2 alone can give you significant leverage when it comes to how much you can potentially earn and Strategy 5 can give your books tremendous exposure without you spending a dime. In addition, you have to optimize how much royalty you earn per book sale.

The strategies are easy to execute...it's just that most people aren't aware of it.

Everything combined will help you compound your earnings over time.

Most publishers that make $10k+ per month pay a lot of attention to detail and are focused on the ROI when making publishing decisions

If they have been there for a long time maybe..but if you only just published them a few months ago I'm not sure. It's best to email KDP support and confirm..they're ultimately the people that make the decision on what's allowed and what isn't

Okay. They're just about two months old and haven't made any sales.

Maybe I'll just leave them and make new books since it's only two books.

You need to first of all take a step back and figure out what didn't work out with the other two books, learn from it and them implement better in the next books....otherwise, you'll just be making the same mistakes with future books and eventually run out of money or lose motivation and the will to continue.

I think the problem is low exposure as I can't afford to run ads for now. And I write the books myself. Maybe quality may also be an issue.

I discovered few ways to increase exposure, but the books must be remodeled and republished for the method to work.

Oh ok..if you're writing yourself then there's not much you can do. Just try and publish in a keyword that doesn't have much competition so you can atleast rank on page 1..the more people see you the more likely you will sell (assuming your book cover and description is good)

Followed up with one of my mentees today. He has only one book at the moment and in the process of publishing a second book. He recently made $125 in audiobook royalties from his only book and I'm confident he'll surpass that with his second book.

Hello sir I have a question. Pertaining to the 30% deduction is it that Amazon will deduct 30% from my sales and another 30% will be deducted as tax by the USA from my sales. For instance if I make 1m from the sales of my book in a month 300k will be deducted by amazon and another 300k as tax then 400k will be paid into my account as my income for the month, is that how it works?

If you go to your KDP dashboard and see the total accumulated royalty is 1m, you will only get 700k paid into your Payoneer account. Amazon keeps the other 300k for withholding tax

It's not expensive compared to the value of the information you're getting. People can learn from their own mistakes (with the loss in money and/or time that comes with it) or they can learn from other people's mistakes.

I've made a lot of mistakes in my publishing business and my mentees get the privilege of avoiding those pitfalls that befell me.

Besides, with the mentorship, I'm exchanging my time for money which is why it has to be at a premium considering what I earn and the value of my time.

The Blueprint, in addition to the newly released keyword research video, is much less expensive because it doesn't involve me exchanging my time for money. In those resources, I'm just giving out my knowledge.

- Your book is ranking #1 for its main keyword "Asking for help"
- The cover art looks nice

Bad
- Your book is ranking #1 for a unprofitable keyword with no demand
- The title on the cover is barely legible (white font color on a white/green background is horrible)
- The subtitle too is barely legible (brown font color against a brown/green background)
- The price point is too high considering your book has no social proof (i.e. reviews)
- The book description isn't compelling (there is no emotional appeal to make a purchase)
- The book has no preview (when a customer clicks into it, they don't see any sample that'll help them get a feel for what they're buying)
- The sentence "Give this book to a child and you have given him, and you have given him an edge." looks like a typo
- The structure of the title/subtitle isn't maximizing exposure at all

Fair enough.

I just think paying too much attention to that will stop some people from taking action. Business is business and you get rich when you enrich others.

I made Audible over $15,600 in gross sales in order to get a $6256 share in royalty (40% cut). I'm not complaining...they let me leverage their platform, their audience etc and I let them leverage my content. It's a partnership.

The US/UK government provide the enabling environment for business people to do their business and prosper so they deserve their fair share in tax. I'm cool with it
