Federal University Ebonyi Generates Own Power, Independent Of National Grid by pressmanng(op): 11:00am On Jul 31, 2019*

The Rural Electrification Agency, REA Under Federal Government has announced that the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ebonyi is now independent of National Power Grid because the institution is now generating its power from solar panels.

REA via its official Twitter handle says that the project is now completed and ready for commissioning.

3500 solar panels were installed to serve 7,700 student and 1,819 staff members of the University.

The solar Panels generates total Capacity of 2.8MW and as a result 108 Jobs were created.

Check the signature projects around it and see who's building them. The article clearly states Ebonyi rural electrification Agency.

Is it that u cant read or what, this is a federal government project? Weitin Concern Igbos with it, for your information OAU- ife will generate it own electricity too latest by November and their will be constant power supply.

Solar is the way to go for Africa
We have one of the highest concentration of solar radiation all year round but we lack the zeal to utilize this resources. Finland has lots of hot springs and generate 100% of their power from these resources.

We just need leaders not rulers who are " You may take a bow"
