Abeg anyone that has applied and stated that she is going for child birth in Brasil in their embassy in Nigeria and has been granted the visa should please update the thread, the documents submitted, how long it takes to granted the visa and the duration of the visa. Thank you

Estou esperando...

aakaay:
Please has anyone that is obviously pregnant applied for visa very recently and gotten it? or maybe you know someone and can explain their journey?

Can you state how it went and the process from application, to submission, to if you declared tourist or going to birth, if you were asked to do medical tests or come for interview?

I believe this is the main purpose for the thread and i dont see much info on this like other threads have, we are supposed to be learning from each to help people with intentions to apply?

PLS PLS!!!

My Update about all this work permit argument going on here...

There is a lawyer that is doing a work permit to foreigners working in Brasil now

You have to been working and your working permit signed on or before 2017

A valid protocol (asylum seeker doc)

Criminal report from your home country and other Brasil docs like CPF and proof of residence (comprovante de endereco)

He will help you do the process and you will be granted a work permit of 28 months renewable like he said

The process do take up to 7 - 9 months

But work permit from Nigeria, I never see that one before and if it is possible...my brother you go try gan to get that one.

How I wish my employer gets to know this your trick ooooo

The sad part here is that many clueless people will be deceived into believing that they CANT do it simply because so many donkeys have been following other donkeys who listened to people who have failed in this venture. CONTACT ANY IMMIGRATION LAWYER, and you will see how easy it is to get a working visa from within Brasil (and Do a visa run at the border). Some people will come here and tell you it cant be done because they read it on some BS forums while i am telling them it CAN be done because WE HAVE DONE IT FOR 3 OF OUR STAFF (one had overstayed for 2fukcng years) ... I guess those visas came from the holy spirit then.

Sadly thats the way most AFRICANS are, they move to another country and follow-follow what other AFRICANS have done (even if it is a failure), thus doing the exact same rubbish without discovering nothing for themselves. They remain clueless and they never want to go out of the beaten track, they do exactly what other millions have done, take the same BS pics to post on their social media and then believe they have achieved anything while they have nothing of value to show for. Many people are cowards that have limits to their own small lives, and if thats what emigrating is for them, then so be it, but NEVER LIMIT YOURSELF UPON THE TINY ACHIEVEMENTS OF OTHERS, go for your own Goals, question everything, go to your own boundaries and never be afraid to make your own path in life.there are just too many blind people, never expect to be another one of them.... Just be smart!!!

An immigration lawyer armed with all the paperwork and valid contract will go to the ministry (labor/foreign affairs) and will therefore apply and get your working visa that you can pick up from any embassy in the world OR the border as you come into Brasil...thus the closest/easiest being to do a visa run Argentina (iguazu)....you go out the border into Argentna and right back out and into brasil .... Passport stamped, et voila!

I have a question,

Does a Nigerian need a transit Visa when traveling through brazil to another destination country someone has a visa from.

The traveller isn't leaving the airport and has a single ticket for the entire trip.

Someone pls help answer abeg.

MrBrownJay1:
If airport transit (aka not going through immigration and onward flight is from same apt/international terminal) then you DONT need a transit visa. You therefore only need a flight connection within 24hs of landing at Brazil apt.

If you onward flight is from another apt or from the national side of the apt (aka you need to go through immigration), then you will need a tourist/transit visa.

I haven't gotten one to book the flight. How do you suggest I proceed?

Nigeria to Ecuador, stop in Brazil
Ethiopian airline then Copa America
Or royal air Maroc then Copa America

What I meant by details was .... You have to be specific about your flight plans... Aka The actual airport and flight number with which you arrive in brazil and the airport and flight number with which you depart to Quito (each flight route may be different). Generally, they depart from international side, but sometimes (especially if using Gol etc), you can be unlucky and they don't.

Not yet, it is still under bilateral/ diplomatic / governmental discussion between Nigeria and Ecuador it might take some time depending on how beneficial it will be to both countries but once they approve it, you will see more guys from Nigeria flooding to Ecuador than Ecuadorians coming to Nigeria for greener pastures, hunger and insecurity dey Nigeria oo, almost everyone wants to flee from the current headquarters of extreme poverty in the world wink

Hello guys.

Please is it possible to go to Barbados through Brazil without the need for any visa at all? This was a route I found out:

Outbound
LOS - JNB - GRU (South African Airways)
GRU - PTY - POS - BGI (Copa + Caribbean Airlines)

Return
BGI - POS - PTY - GRU (Caribbean Airlines + Copa)
GRU - JNB - LOS (South African Airways)

I noticed S. Africa Airways and Copa America are both members of Star Alliance. Is it possible that they can codeshare? Since this flight involves two tickets with Brazil being in between the two tickets, will a Brazil Transit Visa be needed or can it waived if one stays within the airport?

Abbreviations
LOS - Lagos, Nigeria.
JNB - Johanessburg, South Africa.
GRU - Sao Paulo, Brazil.
PTY - Tocumen, Panama.
POS - Piarco, Trinidad and Tobago.
BGI - Bridgetown, Barbados.

Of course you will need a tourist or transit visa because when you get to São Paulo, you gotta go through immigration, pick up your bags, go out and check in again for the next flight. Such procedure is not done in transit and you actually have to go through immigration, before you can pick up your bags.

Now, if you have ONE ticket for the whole journey, meaning your bags go all the way to BGI then you don't need a visa, so long as the connection in GRU is less than 24hs.

What you need to do is ask star alliance if they could check you in all the way through BGI on such long flight... if they can then you will stay in transit and don't have to pick your bags in GRU, if they can't then you have to go through immigration.

Hello @Adjo10,
Do not mean to bother you but I would appreciate if u can guide me aright, lemme also benefit from u like others ve testified. Am in my early stage of pregnancy and wish to apply for brazil by Visa but with no travel experience. Do I stand a chances at all? How do I go about it? Would appreciate an adequate guidance on this
Adjo10:
I add an official website so we are all clear. And i quote:

“tourist visa holder apply for a work visa without leaving the country?

No. An individual who enters Brazil as a tourist must exit the country with the same status. This means that tourists are not permitted to change a visa from one type to another during his/her stay in the country. A possible employer must initiate the application of a work permit in behalf of the applicant. Once approved, the applicant must leave Brazil and go back to his country of origin, where he/she can claim his/her work visa through the Brazilian Consulate.”

Hello Adedayolola. I am glad you find our contributions useful. I’m also glad you are taking steps to a better passport.

Do you stand a chance? Yes. You can secure a visa without previous experience but in the case of Brazil you will have a lot of convincing and home work to do. I will however not be able to tell you your chances of success or failure because every visa application is different and unique.

To improve your chances, I will kindly request that you start by reading the visa requirements on the official Brazilian embassy in your current country of residence. You should analyze the information provided there very carefully and work towards it. Information is power.

Make sure you have a good tie to your country especially that you don’t have a travel history. I may be more useful for information on procedures in Brazil after you have been granted the visa.

I wish you all the best.
