i think the best should've renovate the closer school in the young girl community so others will benefit then buying her motorcycle. she may not be the only persons that want to go to school in her community.

The first Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya A'isha Bello has met with the 8 year-old primary school pupil, Fatima Ismail Lawwali who went viral for trekking two kilometers to school.

Hajiya A'isha Has donated a motorcycle that will be use to take Fatima to school, gave her wrappers, cash gift and other educational materials.

Lawwali said that the closest school to their home was practically in a shambles, explaining that his daughter might not be able to cope academically in such environment which makes him feel it is necessary to choose an enabling enrolment for her to study.

A’isha Matawalle while presenting the gifts disclosed that she saw the picture of the girl on Facebook trekking to school and decided that something positive should be done to assist the family in their quest to educate their child.

“It is heartbreaking when I saw the picture of the girl on social media and this donation is in line with my pet project’s mission to ensure the educational development of the girl child in Zamfara State,” A’isha said.

Give them a school bus, not motorcycles. Giving a motorcycle a teenage pupils isn't normal. Especially a girl. Build a school in their street and often run it to fetch you money is even better than giving out what could destroy them. Thanks for the gift tho, but you could still do better.

Why not buy the school a bus?

The First Lady must be stupid, is the little girl the only one that trek 2km to school everyday? The answer is No ! So I dont see any reason why they can’t build a good school that vicinity or get a sound school bus to convey all the children in that area to school. Meanwhile all their children is schooling abroad. They are here fooling Nigerians

The best solution is for the school to be renovated as soon as possible. The area the girl resides have other pupils who attend the same school her father complained is in shambles.
Or better still parents of the other children who attend the delapidated school should make their children start trecking to the far away school hopefully they will all get motorcycle and cash gifts in return.

The First Lady should just develop the school neat the girl’s house for the benefit of all other children near the area instead of playing hypothetically to the gallery.

If we need to criticise, let us be constructive. The governors wife has done well by being benevolent to the young girl. But I read the father talking about a school being close to their abode. I think it will be better to rehabilitate that school for the sake of many other kids that are also out of school due to that frustration who also have potentials for meaningful contributions to this nation tomorrow.

I think the motorcycle may be used for light okada business just to maintain it. The first lady also made some cash donation, though that will last only for very short period. My prayer is that her parents use the gift as expected/directed, rather than seeing it as opportunity to marry another wife.

Marry another wife or give birth to more children who may later become nuisance to the society.

Nigeria is a joke... there is a problem, why can't they use that girl's issue to generalise; at least 90% people are facing that same problem... yet they just concentrate on one person... what about children that are not in school at all because of same reason?
