The federal government has reiterated commitment to ensure speedy take-off of Dala Inland Dry Port in Kano state with a view to accelerating economic development of the states within the north-western region and the country at large. The Director General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Engineer Chidi Izuwah Snr gave the assurance when he led members of inspection team on a visit to the project site at Zawachiki quarters in Kumbotso local government area of the state.

The DG described Dala Inland Dry Port project as a catalyst for Trade Stimulation and Economic Development’ emphasizing that the commission would do all it could to eliminate all bottlenecks delaying its take-off. He said the country’s seaport facilities had been over-stretched, hence the need for establishing Inland Container Depots (ICD) for effective coverage of the hinterlands across the country.

The Chairman, Dala Inland Dry Port, Alhaji Ahmad Rabi’u expressed delight over the visit, saying it has rekindled hopes for the timely completion of the project which has been laid fallow over two decades.

This gigantic project below is going on at the Eastern part of our nation presently.
The same projects the criminals y'all support ignored and looted the money for the project for 16 years.

But Kaduna is close to kano.
Most of the goods are imported in the south and yet we don't have dry ports.

Continue. God will punish any southern president that would not focus on the south.

It is impossible not to when your president is tribalistic.

Somebody said buhari entire actions in govt since 2015 can be.divided into two.
Political or tribal.

And if you ponder on it clearly, it is an accurate deduction.

Jonathan is a fool. Listening to the north.

The fool should have ensured the entire south south at least has the best ports, the best airports and a complete set of high speed rail lines..
And then extend it nationally from the south south as a starting point.
And given the fact that they contribute 85% of Nigeria's earnings, it would have been justified.

Instead, the idiot spent the bulk of his time pandering to the north and yet they couldn't reciprocate.

Thanks for sharing

If a project can be dragged on for over 2 decades, I think this shows more of system failure than anything else

Like Chinua Achebe said over 30 years ago, the problem with Nigeria is simply and squarely a problem of leadership

Before anyone starts pointing fingers, let's remember we are all leaders in our own spheres. And the ones in positions of authority are usually picked from among us.

Thanks again
