but which mumu will receive alert SMS without checking if the account has been credited

kabeerhabe:
There is surely a conspiracy between a bank person and the scammers. An insider gives them the bank account balance.

Exactly. But most people that do this fake alert fraud do not even add the balance...
Also if you use a smartphone, the fake message will be on a thread thats different from your bank's own

pls tell buhari to give them job, and by that their skills could be useful to this country.

Aboki is Aboki went to same shop twice to do same fake bank alert

DameB:
But how can you not know that an alert is fake

Someone has to know your exact bank account balance before they can accurately do that... Cos when a transfer is made, the alert received shows the new balance (payment made + previous balance)

Refresh ur bank account.. jus thank me and blow me a kiss but if u wan learn the other u pay

It means that these fraudulent guys will target those banks that don't show available balance... All banks should have come up with counter-measures for this fake alert issue by now

femi4:
he's lying

Cos I was wondering as most banks alerts show account balance

Greed....... Their biggest downfall.......

Exactly, even if its 1kobo credit alert. You ll see New bal.....

tigerclaws:
or probably the trader is ignorant to study the alert well to spot the fakeness

Exactly... What kinda bank alert that won't reflect on the existing account balance... Some people don't bother to check thoroughly. They just see credit alert and stop reading.

Seriousness:
Guys are thinking deep

They should apply the deep-thinking to Nigeria's conundrum....
We need every useful head right now

How will you receive alert without seeing ur new balance, which is the addition of previous balance and new payment....

Guys are thinking deep

I dont think there's any deep thinking to that. If I see alert without balance then it's fake. Simple.

I also simultaneously get an email at the same time. So good luck to you.

Can't just trust anybody again

femi4:
liar....i use FBN and they do

The person you quoted is not a liar, I use FBN and I don't receive my new balance whenever I'm credited. The SMS just shows how much was paid.

Don’t just depend on alerts

Always login to your mobile banking app or use USSD to check your balance once you receive an alert to avoid stories that touch
