My dream destination. Hope this dream comes to reality.

There are so many landscape and beautiful places in this Akwa Ibom state which when developed will be more beautiful than this. I've sent messages to the commissioner for tourism but no response. I thought of giving ideas and publication. Nigeria will not just be better soon.

This is all really beautiful. Will definitely plan for Europe next year. I guess I’ve gotten used to the beauty around me, and it doesn’t even occur to me to take pictures anymore.

I really pray that Nigeria changes for the better in my life time.

The beauty of free movement among member states in the Schengen zone cannot be overemphasized as it has created lot of opportunities and revenue for the participating countries. Even Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria have applied to join the zone seeing what other countries are benefiting.

So my journey started from Paris. I booked a Bus from the Bercy Seine Station en-route to Lyon, the trip was about 5 hours and it costs €17.

My plan is to spend a night in Lyon and 2 nights at Geneva with a day return tip to Chamonix since it is just an hour away from Geneva.

So follow me as we explore

Meanwhile I wish to do a PhD at the Graduate School of International and Development, Geneva. Cus it is a specialized institution for International Relations/Politics coupled with the fact that many international organizations and research centres are located in the city. But too expensive.

It's not that difficult actually...you just need to live/eat/drink/party etc well away from Geneva. That's why I said the French side is the best option for living... and you can just catch a bus to school in Geneva.

Is Singapore more expensive than Hong Kong or Tokyo? I rate HK as the most useless expensive city in the world... at least Geneva/Tokyo looks nice etc. But HK?!?!?!?!?! Just rental.price will have you get headache from day one.

I noticed most people go see how beautiful and organized these places are, yet come back and do absolutely nothing to make our nation as good as those.

Also, Nigeria is below the Sahara desert. Wind from the Sahara carries dust particles.
All the dust is in the air 24/7.

Sahara desert carries a lot of dust. Brazil no get desert like our own. And probably they don't use petrol or diesel generator like us. All the smoke adds to the dust in the air.
I feel you sha. It's just condition. We were born, and we found ourselves here.
Just try to arrange yourself and keep positive mindset.
But there's no place like home.

Quick tip
When visiting Geneva, remember that it is a very expensive city, and staying on the French side is cheaper. So get a hotel or place to stay in Ferney Voltaire/Ornex (France) for example, and just commute to Geneva (5mins Uber ride).

When i said it is a young country, i meant in terms of technological advancement. Nigeria as a country has not been existing since prehistoric times. We were just clusters of kingdoms in a vast region and people were for the betterment of their kingdoms.

You cannot say the same for these countries. France began a republic in 1792 and the construction of the underground Metro in Paris began in 1898 alongside the many discoveries. Swiss became a country in 1291. These countries also went through "colonization" before they became stand-alone and started their own "colonization".

But Europeans killed well-well O. Fight and kill pass this our Fulani herdsmen own.
Battle today, kill tomorrow...
I no for like dey there that time of their battles. It is now that their head has cooled down.
That means there's hope for Nigeria.

Last last no place like home o. Na the people for home make the place sweet no be the environment. I know the climate in Nigeria won't favor beautiful landscapes but then, the amount of waste can be utilized. When I was an undergrad in the university, I wrote a proposal to my state govt to convert waste to biofuel... Gather waste, incenerate them, convert the heat energy and dispose the ashes after reducing BOD into a running water source, luckily we have the Atlantic Ocean in the state and it has the ability to re-integrate. But my govt just went silent. Now gist my state capital... Waste everywhere. The place dirty no be here. And would it be a crime if market paths are made with cobblestone or are interlocked?

In this modern age?? All you need is to download google earth you will visit everywhere see things from your living room

There is no experience like traveling there yourself.

Even if you look at google street view on 74" TV in your palour, Hanty, it is not the same.

Yes there is a lot a beauty all over France but the biggest/major tourist attractions are mostly located in Paris area. That's why most people 1st want to discover Paris and then if they have enough time, they discover other areas of France.

As you will notice, there are no horses or donkeys in south Nigeria. That implies, no form of transportation.
but Moses and Pharaoh were firing Horses up in Egypt with even Chariot sef.

I enjoy Nice too, but let's be honest, there is nothing to see/do in Nice (or anywhere else in the Côte d'Azur) apart from the beach.

For a tourist, that place is just good to chill on the beach or high up in some fancy secluded mansion.

The mere fact that a baguette cost almost twice as much in Monaco had me dislike that place.... dont get me wrong, its a nice place for a day trip but you best come with a picnic bag filled with food (bought in France), and just sit in some park and have your food quietly. If you dare enter some of the local restaurants, you will sit down and when they bring the menu, you will look at the prices and tears will start pouring down for no damn reasons lol..... and if you are not satisfied that this place is insane, wait for nightfall, thats when you will notice proper insane prices in local club/bars that will have you run from that area. Everything in Monaco is MONEY MONEY MONEY

The issue with Nigeria is bad infrastructure laced with community insecurity, then no vision, most people want to get all they can and can all they get.
