....but Rome is in Italy
That is the modern form
Remember Rome was an empire.
They covered the whole of Europe,
They are originally called the Gauls.
France Germany, Belgium ....
The language they spoke is Latin. All European languages (and English) derive from Latin.

Roman Empire could not spread more for mathematical reasons.
Their Roman numerals: I, II, III. could only count to 10,000.
And you can't even do any mathematics with Roman numerals. So they can't calculate anything. They can only count

Oh I see! I didn't pay mind to my History teacher, thanks. I'll still verify from Google anyway. Of recent, I've been reading about Vikings, Scandinavia, Turks and many more. Thanks again.

Enough of all this, I beg!
Change starts with your humble self.

Are your good self trustworthy? Can people entrust you with their money/ belonging and they will have peace of mind?

Yes they can. But that really does not change much since my country celebrates con men and rogues over responsible citizens.

Just curious though, enough of what?

Hi Guys,

In the spirit of the season, I will be detailing my visit to these beautiful cities on a tight budget. Lyon and Chamonix Mont-Blanc are in the South of France while Geneva is in Switzerland.

The beauty of free movement among member states in the Schengen zone cannot be overemphasized as it has created lot of opportunities and revenue for the participating countries. Even Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria have applied to join the zone seeing what other countries are benefiting.

So my journey started from Paris. I booked a Bus from the Bercy Seine Station en-route to Lyon, the trip was about 5 hours and it costs €17.

My plan is to spend a night in Lyon and 2 nights at Geneva with a day return tip to Chamonix since it is just an hour away from Geneva.

So follow me as we explore wink

Pics - Bus to Lyon
Guy, so you feel this alright abi?
Ok enjoy your life oh

that is why I was so sad when my grand uncles and uncles dem demolished our Mud homes and huts to build concrete mansions everywhere

The huts should have been spared
it's part of our history
how we used to live

I wonder why they tore them all down

the huts could have existed side by side with the modern homes undecided

But its alright
there is no shame in keeping our old houses
Very true. Side by side, as a reminder of what we used to have/be. People ignorantly look down on mud houses, not realising the importance of African technology used in building the huts. Abi no be we dey yab ourselves here ogbomosho brown roof, and aba mud hut
Even the ones we've managed to keep how many people truly cherish it? Why is the first building in badagry or PH not a site of attraction or tourism? We rush to shoprite or film houses every weekend to snap selfies, like it is some big deal.
It is just who we are as a people, and how we've chosen to live our lives.

Why Tel- Aviv specifically?

It is the city that never sleeps.

Nonstop nightlife, beautiful beaches and a generally happy place.

Besides they have like the 3rd largest economy in the middle East; beside Kuwait and Abu Dhabi.
So, I just might come home with one madt business idea.

It is the schengen visa. It gives you access to 22 countries that have signed the schengen zone agreement. Any visa being issued by any of the countries in the zone is a schengen visa.
can I apply for this schengen visa from Nigeria?

I have always believed in this country, I always taught it would be great..but I never believed the words "Nigeria will never get better" would ever come out from my mouth..but it did just last Friday. I realized Nigeria can NEVER get better, we should face reality and stop sugar coating what's not. having faith is different, working towards making that faith come to pass is another thing.

if I tell you what I passed through last Friday cos I wanted to have a rail experience to Kano, you'll cry for me.
I ad the same experience, the first and the only time I traveled on train from Osogbo to Kano. The trains are not maintained- very untidy; ticket racketeering is the norm, in fact the whole system is an eye sore. The height of it all is the over crowding of the coaches. Why can't government modernise NRC?

Few days ago, I decided to try water transportation in Lagos. I moved from Ajah side to Ikorodu. But to my surprise despite the whole media noise, the standard is still very low. The ferry seems like the one used 100yrs ago. The system is far from average. "This country go better" has now become a trite saying.

you're very right, it's way too overcrowded.. no passage whatsoever in the train..people are just packed up like sardines...

ferry keh? I'm not sure that i'll try that soon, with the poor maintenance culture in the country where they'll know something is bad but will still use it until it's totally damaged before they repair.. make the ferry no go stop for centre of water like the way the useless train stopped for minna with no hope to be be fixed.

That's the worst thing that can happen when you travel by train in Nigeria. I was lucky as the trained derailed not too far from there station. Many are not always lucky on several occasions. Imagine, a train derail somewhere in the bush and passenger have to stay there for days especially those without cash on them. This country is a joke, I swear.

lol...you're very right. i was very lucky, ours derailed at their minna station. saying what got spoilt has been ordered for Kaduna and would be in minna in 90mins. that was how we stayed in minna from 1am to 7am, the stuff was still yet to arrive. I just packed my bad and left to the nearest park in minna angrily and boarded a bus to Kano.. I regretted being a Nigerian that day.. if we couldn't get simple stuffs as that right and I wonder when the country will get better. I felt pity for those that remained there cos I called back 5pm that same day and they said the stuff from kd was still yet to arrive. what annoyed me was that they knew the train was faulty since we left Lagos. we left Lagos 3pm and arrived Ibadan 1am( almost 10hrs). where it was partially fixed. we left I.b and arrived illorin 10am..it continued troubling us till we got to minna station.

Mehn, anybody that wants to have a feel of rain experience shouldn't try it in Nigeria.. if you're too broke to afford road transport kindly pay for attachment and stand rather than following train.

Quick tip
When visiting Geneva, remember that it is a very expensive city, and staying on the French side is cheaper. So get a hotel or place to stay in Ferney Voltaire/Ornex (France) for example, and just commute to Geneva (5mins Uber ride).

Planning to visit italy-France-Switzerland next year April on a tight budget as well grin. Any recommendation as regards to connecting these three countries either by Bus/flight as to save money?

Thanks

Cheapest way to travel in Europe is via car sharing (covoiturage in French)... go to blablacar website, and you can find rides between European cities at unbeatable prices.
