Please nairalanders i need turkey expert advice and assistance. Bought 10 turkey yesterday and I am brooding them now. Was in the pen till 2am this morning and woke up this morning 7am. Everything was okay only for to notice that 1 of them could not get up again and later died another follow suit in 2 hours timey.

Please is there anything i can do so i won't have any more mortality

There could several reasons for this. One or more of these could be a factor : source of the poult, the feed quality, feed palatability, environmental factor, disease from the hatchery and many more. I would have loved to assist a bit if you can post the pictures of the affected poults basically their vents region.
In the meantime, you can engaGE them in force feeding because young turkey (poults) are suicidal at young age..
Force feedecan be achieved by either giving them boiled egg as if feeding a baby and/or glucose to give them streams vigour, but egg feeding is more preferable.

Leave them naa. They are fasting seriously and praying because they know their eventual fate! They need to avert it hence the fast. Some people for Naija cannot afford a meal in 2 days. That's why people are running from naija seriously. Then you bring foreign ones down here...no be die be dat for them?

Please just kidding. Talk to a vet. Always use vets for issues with livestock.

Turkeys are like that. These must be your first time breeding them. Of you want your turkeys to eat, don't breed them separately put broilers or normal chickens in their Midst, those ones eating habits is what will motivate them to eat. Mix them with the broilers.

I brood them with broilers sir and like I said before broilers are doing very well thanks for your enlightening advice

if they are too young they usually don't see well, that's why when brooding them you need to mix them preferably with young cockerels because as they eat they tend to lead the turkeys to the food. if you can't get cockerels or broilers, use shinning foil papers and place their food on top of the shining foil, the reflection of it will attract them to naturally want to pick, from there, they will pick their food and continue to eat.

This is very educative, i will try it later but the have started eating
