The president needs to talk face to face with the top members of tthe NA. This looks like like a collaboration by some faces in the army and kidnappers.

Nigerians use all medium to show who they are. (criminals )

In as much as this country called Nigeria is lawless, pls let's be sure the shooters are men of NIGERIAN ARMY.They can as well be the "Kidnapper Alhaji's" boys in Army uniform.Meanwhile,I use this medium to call on our president to order our DEFENDERS(Army) out of the roads, they are killing those they are meant to protect.Aba(Umuokereke Obingwa LGA) is boiling right now over the shooting of a poor okada rider because of N100.We in Abia now pay both Army and Police N100 for using Nigeria roads.I don't know if is tollgate charges. No more checking of vehicle particulars.
Re: Soldiers Killed 3 Policemen In Taraba State (Photos) by benpuzzy(m): 9:28am On Aug 08, 2019
My take on this is that those shooters are not Nigerian Army. Nigerian Army would have detained all the occupants of that vehicle for further investigation than that selective killing.

That the attackers may have worn Camos doesn't prove they were actual Nigerian military personnel.
They may be members of the kidnapping cartel who set up a 'check-point' in order to rescue their apprehended leader.

There are so many crimes being committed by criminals disguised as military personnel.
Shut up there, fool. Same excuse you guys gave during the Presidential election when soldiers were observed snatching ballot papers for the ruling party.

You are very correct... obviously the last mile security and rescue team for the kidnap kingpin...gang members dressed up as Soldiers..

Let's analyze...Kidnap kingpin pre-arrest security arrangements with next door neighbor or next house.. or Aboki shining shoe or selling chewing gum and biscuits near the house.... anytime police come to arrest, send message to last mile security and rescue team to mount guard and check all vehicles.

Probable pre-arrest briefing of King pin to Last mile security gang members dressed as Soldiers... if you see kingpin in any vehicle with handcuffs, just open fire.
The Nigerian already confirmed they did it and gave checkpoint as reasons

I advised that any body seen around that wukari/ Ibi axis in military uniform should by investigated, cuz the Jukuns militias are always seen in comos.
Nigeria army has acknowledge the incident bro. Na soldiers and that was why the police were taken unaware. They didn't just believe the incident.

This is not a sane country.

SARS go about breaking laws anyhow pulling triggers on unarmed civilians, do you know what these people sometimes look like bandits in dressing etc. Even if there's going to be a covert operation, there should be a briefing with security operatives either within the state or checkpoints there should be a means of identification, there should be a signal....moreover you don't runover or speed at army checkpoints no matter what...... This is a total lack of strategy both on the NPF side and the NA side. If I was the president, some offices would be vacant by now or immediate transfers. Do we need to start training our forces again or whathuh?

So sorry to say, whoever coordinated the operation will have a lot to tell Nigerians and the families of the personnel that took hits.

If you've had any encounter with either SARS or IGP X squad before you'll know ethics and rules of engagements are constantly being violated.
Buhari love incompetency. Since he never passed on merit, he will not know what it take to be competent. He will still retain all the incompetent service chiefs

This county is gone, believe me. See even the one that was alive, and the person videoing it trying to convince them they are working with i.g, see how he was being dragged on the floor. I regretted watching this video early morning. Even if they were kidnappers as claimed, why would the solders remove the handcuffs and let the suspect escape? shouldn't it be that he needed to be kept and be a witness for them?
What i thought happened was that the man in questions has lots of informants and networks. All high profile kidnappers likely do this. So when he was hunted down, his boys contacted the military guys at the check point likely being some of their covers and protectors working for them that he was being taken away, then they laid ambush for them and shot them. This was not a mistake at all. They shot at the vehicle and it somersaulted and selectively targeted the police in the vehicle while allowing the suspect to go. It is a clever execution to cover track. I noticed that is very common to arrest kidnappers in the north and not kill them unlike in the south that they kill them any how. They always parade them and less killing for only God knows why. So why is this different?
Serious investigations are needed on this but sadly the deed has been done. I repeat, this country is gone , and sitting on lots of explosives, only time will tell.
U are very intelligent.. It is sad. And this team is one of the most efficient teams in the country. They even successfully got the kidnapper which I know must have taken serious intelligence.

The military is the major problem of this country. The generals are so corrupt. They messed up this country. I'm sure this was a deliberate act to free the kidnapper.
Re: Soldiers Killed 3 Policemen In Taraba State (Photos) by gamaliel9: 9:43am On Aug 08, 2019
So somebody in the north can kidnapp and get ransome up to 100million....i thought it is only Easterners that are kidnappers

Nigerian Media should say men in Army uniform not soldiers. Untill investigation is completed you can't confirm they were men of the Nigerian Army.
Yeah right. There are too many criminals in the Nigeria Army. Of course the Army will disown those killers. That is their way.

It is so pathetic that Nigerian is at this stage! Its painful when you see a police officer dressing like a kidnapper on the street and wearing slippers with AK47 in the hands. I do not blame the military... The disrespect for the rule of law cost the police their lives! huh
Guy, calm down, that kidnapper must have top soldiers working for him.

The same thing they do in Niger delta.

the question should be, what are the military doing in a civilian space with guns... that’s to show you the type of country we are in...

This is not a matter of synergy. The soldiers free someone in handcuffs.
Obviously, they came to rescue him
Exactly, if the soldiers thought he was a victim, they would have taken him at least for investigation first. U can't free a kidnap victim and free the person immediately. U take them for questioning and proper investigation. So those soldiers came to rescue the man.

I just pity the police, they were hit by people they trusted.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM,mni has ordered full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of three (3) Police operatives and one (1) Civilian, and serious injury to other Police operatives, who were on investigation activities to Ibi, Taraba State, to arrest one Alhaji Hamisu indicted in a series of high-profile kidnap incidents in the State.

The Police Operatives, led by ASP Felix Adolije of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) reportedly came under sudden attack and serious shooting by soldiers of the Nigerian Army, along Ibi – Jalingo Road, Taraba State. The Operatives, who were taking the arrested suspect, Alhaji Hamisu to the Command Headquarters in Jalingo, were shot at severally by the soldiers despite sufficient proof that they are Police personnel on legitimate duty. Three Policemen (comprising one Inspector and two Sergeants) and one civilian died as a result of gunshot injuries sustained in the attack while others sustained serious gunshot wounds.

The soldiers thereafter released the handcuffed suspect, Alhaji Hamisu, who is now on the run. Alhaji Hamisu, a notorious kidnap kingpin, has been on the Police wanted list for his complicity in several high-profile kidnap cases including the recent abduction of an Oil-Mogul in Taraba State wherein a ransom of about One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000) was paid.

The IGP has ordered the AIG Medicals to proceed to Jalingo to ensure concerted efforts in the treatment of the injured Police officers. The remains of the deceased have been deposited in the morgue. Meanwhile, the Force has commenced a full investigation into the bizarre and unfortunate incident.

That's the truth! When faced with superior firepower the police diffuses like gas. The mission was a failure from the scratch... When people feel like they could run the country like Banana republic. The police guys should have contacted the state unit and they should have identified themselves. What a fool they were!
Guy, keep quiet. If the soldiers thought the police were kidnappers, what do u do when u free a kidnapped victim? U don't just release him or her. U take the person to the Barracks or police station. That is the norm bro. But in this case, they simply freed the man. That shows that they intentionally waited for the police. The story the military told was a cover up.

And as for fire power, the police were completely taken unaware. Same way many soldiers have been killed when Boko haram take them unaware. Security personnels rarely solve unaware attack.

As for information, the police went for a secret mission and couldn't have made it open. U don't know who is who.

If the country is good, it is the DSS that could have done the notification between the police and the military.

Yes, I stand with the Nigerian Army on this one. They were treated squarely as kidnap suspects for their refusal to stop at the army check points, three for that matter. And moreover, the dead policemen and those alive were not on uniform, mounting the suspects talk to high levels.
It is well with my country Nigeria.
Re: Soldiers Killed 3 Policemen In Taraba State (Photos) by executive12: 10:08am On Aug 08, 2019
Some criminal elements within the military have been doing this for some time now. I read about a similar incident that happened in Edo State last year: The local vigilantes encountered some armed Fulani militants that had just committed some crime. One of them was arrested while the rest escaped. One vigilante member was assigned to guard the arrested Fulani militant. The fleeing ones called their members in the Army who came over, shot the vigilante member dead and freed the Fulani militant.

What's the evidence to proof that those guys are truly soldiers? They might jst be some of his boys disguised in Camouflage to clear ways for the operation. Imagine,
they said they were police and nt even single person on uniform or with rifle. If it should be soldiers for real, means dey all came for an illegal raid. The strongest team won. We should all behave learned pls.

Nothing justifies the senseless action of these BALLOON HEADS who called themselves soldiers. Why kill the innocent policemen and release a criminal who was clearly in handcuffs? Pure madness!
