My take on this is that those shooters are not Nigerian Army. Nigerian Army would have detained all the occupants of that vehicle for further investigation than that selective killing.

The a popular bishop and his family was kidnapped in sokoto, the bishop was later killed while his family released, the wife said that while she was in the kidnapping den, an helicopter supplied food for the kidnappers to celebrate buhari's second term victory. People leaving in sokoto can confirm this story.

yes it is. they were chased by men of the suspect in military uniform who after raising the false alarm chased and overpowered the officers freeing their boss. Defence headquarters is as confused as police headquarters but as the truth is revealed that there was complicity of operatives from both sides the whole matter will be laid to rest. the entire story is laced with fabrications. they passed check points with real soldiers and were not shot. when they got to the fake check point they were shot close range and while the driver tried to drive off they were chased and the suspect freed. real soldiers wouldn't have let the suspect or supposed victim escape when several dead bodies and injured lay about at the scene

I regretted watching this video early morning. Even if they were kidnappers as claimed, why would the solders remove the handcuffs and let the suspect escape? shouldn't it be that he needed to be kept and be a witness for them?
What i thought happened was that the man in questions has lots of informants and networks. All high profile kidnappers likely do this. So when he was hunted down, his boys contacted the military guys at the check point likely being some of their covers and protectors working for them that he was being taken away, then they laid ambush for them and shot them. This was not a mistake at all. They shot at the vehicle and it somersaulted and selectively targeted the police in the vehicle while allowing the suspect to go. It is a clever execution to cover track. I noticed that is very common to arrest kidnappers in the north and not kill them unlike in the south that they kill them any how. They always parade them and less killing for only God knows why. So why is this different?
Serious investigations are needed on this but sadly the deed has been done. I repeat, this country is gone , and sitting on lots of explosives, only time will tell.

This is another side of the story that would have justified the killing of the Police officers but Nigerian Army have already accepted that their men shot the officers mistakenly, which means the soldiers were on a special mission to free the arrested kidnap kingpin

When you don't have a leader at the seat of power this is what you have! This country has turned into state of anarchy and lawlessness. I don't think Nigeria was this bad before the coupists struck in 1966. I am just wondering what our soldiers are waiting for. Let the military just come in and reorganize the whole entity using their decrees so we can start afresh because i have lost hope in the puppet and rubber stamp legislature or judiciary to intervene as the country collapses everyday.

The synergy thing you between the forces is not that easy, there is a mole in all the forces in Nigeria even in the Police and Army... If you give information freely then they might use the information against you... Some Nigerian Army is Boko-haram, some are bandit and some are Fulani Herdsmen. Those criminals get most of there weapon from Nigerian forces. It's hard for people in the force to trust each other.

They were the Nigerian Army. The chief of Army Staff already issued out a statement. He acknowledged the incident and blamed it on misinformation between the Police force and the Army Force.

one thing u must understand is the country is going through serious security challenge, operations like this should be properly arranged don't be surprise the soldiers where not aware about the police operations in that area, and there by mistaken the police for kidnappers..

This is sickening, the police team erred in not identifying themselves before the soldiers but the soldiers have no justification for their action especially releasing the suspected kidnapper. RIP gallants officers, you died for a country where lives and property of citizens doesn't mean anything.

No it's a Lagos plate number (private I guess) that was on the bus, not police plate number.
