Okay pat, I'll tell you the revolution we need;

We need a revolution against religious leaders who divert offerings to personal interests and investments. Imams divert zakat funds and feesebilillahi to their pockets and pastors divert tithes to private jets and to send their kids abroad.

We need revolution against the hypocrites amongst us who say one thing in front of the masses and say another when they meet the elites. I remember a university lecturer that always insults politicians on radio. The day he met one politician face to face I swear he said; "Ali, oya fun mi lowo (give me money)"

We need revolution against failed and dysfunctional family systems and lifestyles that are disconnecting parents and children.

We need revolution against filthy norms and civilizations that are making us raise irresponsible adults that beget irresponsible offspring. You can't give what you don't posses, only a responsible parent can give a child responsible upbringing.

Revolution starts from our home and selves. I believe in a bottom-up approach. Our leaders are only a mirror of who we are. If you're a good people you'll have good leaders. If you have evil leaders then you're likely evil people.

I rest my case.

I agreed with u until ur last paragraph which showed Ure not serious about changing bad governance, policies and ideology bt rather socialital and religious issues. Welldone mr revolution

I never wished for PMB. I just wanted better than GEJ. Delta has been plagued by thugs and killers parading as politicians. Ibori claims to have produced not one but two governors from a jail cell in the UK. Who is he El Chapo? Pat Utomi is leaps and bounds better than the clowns who have plunged one of the most profitable states into debt that won't be cleared for decades with nothing to show. You keep on calling it "ruling" rather than "governance" and you wonder why the executive branch behaves like kings? Get a book and learn something. You're angry at the wrong people and things around you. Peace.

Na wah for you sef. Are you from Delta state? If he won the election would he have supported a revolution? And by the way what makes him better than local government chairmen in Delta state, how much more Okowa? Is it any body’s fault that he is always in the wrong party?

Nah I'm not from Delta. I'm from East Bank Anioma. ONITSHA! But I have a home in Asaba.

If he won he would have been leading the revolution by example. Which is what he's been canvassing for years.

He is an erudite and world roknowned professor of business with a reputation to protect. That makes him leaps and bounds better than Okowa who is an Ibori Boy and perennial failure.

His choice in political alignment is one of those things that has been a head scratcher. Why he can't figure it out beats me.

Pat the great flip flopper. Facing East one day, then North, then West, etc like a wind vane.

Abeg we don't need revolution or anything, food go too cost, innocents will die, and I won't be able to enjoy BBNaija in peace. tongue

Is Pat going to carry stick or gun? Or is it innocent jobless youths that soldiers will mow down? We asked people to use their heads in elections in 2015 and 2019, yet they refused, forgetting that all that glitters is not gold. And it's mostly the former ardent supporters of PMB (or haters of GEJ if you prefer) who are talking this sh1t. Those with sense don't give a sh1t.

My advise: wait 3.5 years, use your brains in the next elections, and stop making noise until then.

Before he got with APC? Not to my knowledge. I imagine he didn't want to get assassinated by Ibori and co. And just this year Baba Osho rigged him out at the primaries this last election.

As long as the Ibori Dynasty has their hands on Delta's steering wheel the state will never get quality governance.

[quote author=festacman post=81056562]1. The O'toge movement in Kwara State happened without a call to Revolution Now and Days of Rage. 2. The defeat of PDP in 2015 happened without one marijuana-smoking New Yorker threatening fire. These two key events happened because MAJORITY of people were determined and United to bring a kind of paradigm shift. And it happened. I still maintain that the time for young people of this country to begin discussion towards 2023 elections is now and not a couple of months to the election. They have the number, the spread and media but obviously lack leaders who are ready to make personal sacrifice and tolerate discomforts in the interest of the big picture. In reality, every aspect of our national life has been stagnant and needs REVOLUTION NOW: our economy, how our elected leaders manage resources, our healthcare, our educational system, our sports, our different infrastructure that should drive production, etc. However, in a democracy, the revolution comes from making a decision through the ballot box and defending such decision.

can you listen to yourself what is the meaning of otoge its revolution the drum of wars and blood baboon and dog soaking in blood the numbers of youth coppers killed in previous elections the death tolls jacking of ballots using law enforcement to intimidate opposition and all that are all form of revolution misabused

From all indications he's an academic but not much of a practical man. To be such a historian he sure is overly optimistic about Nigeria to his own detriment. There's no thug in him and he's too much of a gentleman.

Around that time much of the PDP block went home so maybe he figured the ACN and CPC factions were above internal rigging. He probably couldn't see that Oshiomole is brute and Osinbajo & the Jagaban Block are snakes.

You said it my friend. APC & PDP are the thing and both are leading us to doom. The major players, godfathers & politicians in this country only want to get as big of a slice of the National Cake as they can. So they can take it overseas and watch as we suffer and toil for scraps. The sad thing is that if you put most people in position they would maintain status quo and do the same.

Until us commoners and working class people control government from the ward & LG level we have no chance of ever getting anything reasonable at the federal & state level. I don't know which way we are going but I know it ain't to victory. Some things have to change and fast. Time is running out.

Eventually but I'm "too young to run" as it stands and I don't have the war chest nor reach to execute a campaign for anyone else. The "plan" is to get involved within the next decade. I'm just getting the strategy and means together.

How about yourself?

Ideally, I'd create a new a party with like minded individuals from home and abroad. These already formed parties have too many factions and baggage.

Kowa is a diamond in the rough though. They really need to tap into the frustrated and educated youth in the country. Kowa only pops up at election time. I'm surprised they are more actively playing opposition politics. They could really put PDP & APC's feet to the fire since they are the only parties that have been at the wheel steering us no where.

Even winning LG chairmen elections or state assembly seats could go a long way. Everyone thinks governor & president are the only important slots. State assemblies can impeach an unfit governor like Rochas. Kowa and other small parties need to stop wasting money fielding presidential candidates. Just find a state and take it over. Then spread into the rest of the region then country. Moghalu, Sowore, etc are fighting a losing battle trying to go national without a grassroots structure/machine.
