Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by epurepu(m): 3:30pm On Aug 09, 2019
Please which schools are currently open for masters applications at this time... Constantly updating us on schools open for application will highly be appreciated.

Yeah... I know Daad is there, but there many schools that still do not feature there.

Thanks in anticipation.

Accurate!!! We preach so much about respect but we fail to act with when actually needed. Respect goes beyond kneeling or greeting. We show little respect to those below us in all spheres. Real respect accomodates all. And you’d agree with me that isn’t the case. From interacting with different non challant secretaries from out various institutions to our bossy lecturers who feel ontop of the world. We can easily conclude humility is a luxury they can’t afford. I’ve had experiences with some lecturers from Memorial university in Canada. During my application I contacted him for supervison and because he was on a 2 year leave he couldn’t supervise me. He promised to contact his other colleagues on my behalf and send my application to them. He later did and mailed me some contacts. I was in awe. It was so exemplary and i which our ogas especially in academia can have 10% of these attributes. I’m not saying they’re all good of course there are bad ones too. There was one who told me to go learn english then take an English test before i come back to mail him. Because if one typo o. Rude jude!. We could stereotype all we want but the truth is we still have a long way to go as a nation in all spheres of our lives. Naija no join at all

You don't have to travel anywhere to know that what he said is the truth, even if it is the bitter truth.
He even gave a good example of a receptionist feeling too big when you walk into an office. That is the typical behavior of the average Nigerian. We have all seen it many times : public servants feeling too big to do their job, some of our lecturers wanting to be treated like gods etc.
I was emailing a US prof and we were exchanging emails regularly till I decided to Google his name, the man was a huge name in tech that has even invented a programming language, he has a Wikipedia page, yet so humble and willing to help.
If their is one thing I am sure we can learn from whites, it is humility, not showing off unnecessarily and not feeling too important.

Goodday, please what is the veracity of this claim. My intended program has a tuition fee of 1500€ attached per semester and I’ve no knowledge of such. Please house do i need to tender a statement of account?.
My interview is coming up soon and answers will be appreciated.
I’m going for Msc bioeconomy in Hohenheim, Stuttgart. Many thanks

I think you have to tell the V.O how your tuition fee will be funded throughout your study. I doubt if this can be funded from your Block account cos this is for your upkeep.

Hello, I am new here. please what does a mail stating you should bring travelling insurance mean? Is that a sign that your visa has been approved? Or can it still be rejected? I am going for M.A at BSBI in berlin.
Can I start celebrating?

No need as long as its daad development related program. The only exceptions to this might be scholarships given by religious organizations or those given by political organizations, and they usually require a good command of German language proficiency (B2 in most cases)

Firstly, there is Goethe Lagos where you can learn German far cheaper (60k or so per level).. this is enough reason to deny your application
Secondly you booked the wrong category. Language course is supposed to be booked under long stay.. another reason to be denied.
Thirdly short stay isn't extendable.. that's why it's short stay
There are alot of English taught courses in Germany, I wonder how you missed them.
If that's your dream course and school learn German here in Nigeria via Goethe to the required level and apply. Or search for English taught courses on daad.de for summer and apply
It depends, if he was actually given an admission for a full study program and asked to do a language course as one of the requirements then his visa would not be denied. it would be treated as a student visa and he will be expected to go learn the language there, all he needs is the confirmation from whichever language school he registers in that he has paid and would start on so so date plus his schools admission letter for the study program with the condition. If its just an admission from a language school only, then it would be denied due to your stated reasons

@elpatron95 by now you should know what category you fall into.
there are cheaper language schools like LANES(390euros and 2 months per level) and sprachenstudio (400-450 euros and 2 months per level) with positive results in that region, not more than 20-30 minutes away from Bochum. Since you need to do a language course first i am guessing your university gave enough time frame to learn it , Ask your school for an extension, Book with a Later deadline like Dec 10.

Book with student visa not language course, if you have an AL from Rhur bochum stating a condition to learn language first

Pls can someone help me with an email to send an appeal letter & documents to. I sent the attachments to info@lago.diplo.de but was not delivered.

You care not to share reasons for your rejections, getting an appeal if not well articulated might bounce back. Anyway you can contact dolpaz guess he might be of help as regards this. All the very best

At this point, it is risky. Ask for an enrollment extension from your school to December or November ending. Then book with a start date of Dec 16 or so. When you get a date. Then you can pay the money and satisfy other enrollment conditions. Ask your school to send your enrollment certificate. You'll use this to fast track the process at the Embassy. Above all, Pray well.

I will do that thanks and God bless.

Good day nairalanders, please I have a question to ask...I am a summer aspirant , I want to apply for my EPL letter from my school..which English level will be preferable for me to use on the letter ? B2 or C1 (as some schools asks for B2 or C1)
your contribution's will be highly appreciated..

Check to see what your school requires pls. EPL are fashioned according to what they require most often. Some don't even care about all the grammar, just simple and clear words. But as regards your level of English language proficiency of course it should be C1.

I have searched on DAAD and I didn't see anything about the course. That's why I am asking here. You just fey talk anyhow. No be your fault

Mine too have same tuition and I was never asked about it by the visa officer during my interview. Infact embassy don't care about that, it's between you and your school, so you don't need to tender any bank statement whatsoever. We are presently still working on waivers as some other schools have done for their prospective students, but in all, it's the discretion of the schools to waive such tuition for their students. We pray to be considered nevertheless, it's all about negotiations
