3.Prices shoot up to N200 and above per liter

4.Hardship...for a while

5.But investors flow in, private refinereis licecnees get building, jobs get created

6.By 2018, the economy is on the upswing

So yes, only IF he removes subsidy(since it's his second term, he has no obligations.)

And if they did, it was done due to support borne out of bias rather than performance. It will be disastrous for Nigerians to get used to poverty as a way of life. That is what APC and Buhari are forcing Nigerians to accept

From time immemorial and in the annals of Nigeria's political/leadership history, the previous government has always been hailed as better than the present.

This now brings me to the question...

What could the problem be?

I could go back as far as the Gowon era, but let's just start from the second stint of OBJ.

When Yaradua took over, how can one have forgotten all the names he was called..Baba go-slow et all. He only became the best President that never really Presided due to his demise in the eyes and minds of Nigerians.

In came GEJ...everyone wished OBJ/Abacha was still in power and anything to sack him would be a welcome development even if it meant finding a cow to lead the government.

In comes PMB, now everyone wished GEJ was still holding sway.

Why do we keep retrogressing in thoughts and development in God's name?

1.Most Nigerians who like GEJ do so because of the percieved hate towards GEJ by the North.

See what happened in 2010 (where the schemings of the cabal around Yaradua and certian Northern PDP leaders tried to prevent GEJ from taking over as he rightfully should have) or 2011 (the riots and deaths of many Southerners up North)....and you get the idea.

Many GEJ supporters , mainly Southern , see any opposition as a manifestation of Northern amninosity to him. So, anyone critiquing GEJ is either a Northerner or a dupe of the Northeners. (The Boko Haram crisis, and the Fulani Herdmen issue as well as the Chibok issue reinforced that mentality).

It's sad to see a GEJ supporter critique this government. (and to be honest, APC has really been a dissapointment...the 2019 election shows how dissapointed Nigerians are in Buhari...the margin of victory was narrow...and if SE voters had turned out en masse...the election could have gone into a runoff)). It is usually a bitter gloating rant. And any attempt to refute them...is usually met with 'Enjoy your change'.

Add the fact that most Nigerians see politics as a game of 'spoils'...and you get the picture.
