What is the average pay for salesman and how easy it to get jobs like that?

How do I join you there - route, costs etc.

What is the price of a plate of rice in a local restaurant /food seller?

What is the price of a self contained /studio apartment?

Thank you

P. S:
6,350.28 Tanzanian Shilling = 1,000 Nigerian Naira

What can that purchase?

Its really funny how Nigerians speak ill of other countries that are actually doing better than us in every aspect...
we keep deceiving ourselves that we are the giants of Africa but we honestly Dont have anything but our music, billionaires and corruption to show for it.
I used to think that way too till i started travelling.
Tanzania is a very beautiful and peaceful country, home to the highest peak in Africa, largest migration of wildebeest from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara, home to a lot of game reserves, beautiful lakes and all.
I cannot but emphasize on how beautiful and peaceful Tanzania is.
I have also had the opportunity to travel around the country to different regions like the beautiful island of Zanzibar,Arusha,Singida,Mtwara where our Dangote established his cement plant,Moshi,Tanga,Dodoma which is the capital,Morogoro and a host of other smaller cities.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Talk about infrastructural development they are doing a really great job building rail lines that will run from some major regions and also through neighboring countries like Uganda,Rwanda and Kenya to boost trade as the Dar es salaam port serves almost all the landlocked countries in that region.
They also have a very good road network that even takes you to those aforementioned countries(i mean there are no potholes here).
living here legally has also given me easy access to countries like Southafrica,Kenya,Uganda,Rwanda,Zambia,Malawi,Egypt,Morocco and Ethiopia as getting visas to these countries are as easy as ABC as compared to what we face in Nigeria.
They recently just opened the Julius Nyerere terminal 3 airport recently built with "tax payers money" and the airport will serve as much as 6 million visitors annually and let me also state that they make use of technology a lot here too as they have a really nice system that works in their banking, telecoms and other sectors hence generating a lot of revenue.

THE ECONOMY
The economy is based on 3 major things agriculture, tourism and mining which excites the interest of alot of investors.
There is also abundance of natural gas here hence the constant electricity they generate using natural gas.
Food is really cheap here and so are other basic needs.
In general, for me,living in Tanzania is cheaper and more cost efficient than living in Nigeria as a whole.
There is constant electricity so you Dont even have to bother about any of that.

As for getting a JOB here it is always difficult but very possible as the government insists on employers employing qualified Tanzanians before looking elsewhere.
There are lots of businesses one can do only if you have the right funds to invest in your business.

I have to go off now i'l come shed more light on my experience so far in this beautiful but very peaceful country...

To be continued...

Fantastic write up,I would like to ask you some of these questions,1)I would love to visit Tanzania for a holiday,as you know, its very difficult for a Nigerian to visit Tanzania, because of the condition attached for any Nigerian that wants to visit.
Nigeria is among the countries that needs referral(Visa Application for Referral Cases
There are two modalities of application for Referral Visa Applicants. The first one, which is recommended, is for applicants to seek permission clearance first, through their host in Tanzania. In this case, the host submits the request letter detailing the reasons and duration of stay of the visitor, to the commissioner General of immigration, or the commissioner of Zanzibar, if the applicant wishes to visit Zanzibar. In this modality, the applicant while applying Online will attach his photo (passport size), Passport/Travel Document (biographic data page) and a permission letter granted. His application will be processed within five working days) before we can apply for the Tanzanian evisa, that makes it difficult for a Nigerian to apply for the evisa. And secondly the tanzania embassy in Nigeria no longer issue visa to people again, all Nigerian are advised to apply for the evisa online. It is written on their Embassy website in Nigeria.
In this situation what do you think a Nigerian that wants to visit Tanzania as a tourist should do.
In addition, what legal business do you think can be done between Nigeria and Tanzania, for example exporting Goods and Services to Tanzania from Nigeria.

You have read correctly.they have changed the visa system for Nigerians.
You cant blame them, our Nigerian brothers are always messing things and places up every time.
They had to stop issuing visas on arrival to Nigerians cos most of our brothers were coming in with Drugs and overstaying their visas so they had to come up with a better way of reducing and keeping tabs on our Nigerian visitors.

oh yeah it is cheap.
Infact the cheapest and most common food here is CHIPS MAYAI(chips and egg).every corner u go to you must see a stand where they sell chips with eggs or chicken and sausages or however u like it.
as for house rent it depends on the location you wish to stay in dar es salaam.some places u pay as low as 150000Tsh-250000tsh per month depending on the kind of house u looking for.you can get as much as 400000tsh-700000tsh(Tanzanian shillings) per month.
i traveled here by air.
i studied at University of dar es salaam and yes they have masters programs there.
you can check www.udsm.ac.tz and yes you can apply from Nigeria.

BACK TO WHERE I STOPPED.
Tanzanians are really accommodating and welcoming as they always make you feel at home.
You can melt their hearts if you can speak Swahili as they love it when foreigners speak Swahili which isn't a difficult language at all only if you put your mind to it.
I cannot forget to also state that they have really beautiful women.if you are not careful my brothers una go lost for here o.
They come in different colors, shapes and sizes.

TRANSPORTATION
There are so many means of transportation here which are,DALADALA(like coaster bus but extremely cheap),BRT,bajaji(keke napep)BODA BODA(okada),uber, bolt and private cars.
Cars are really cheap here as you can get a very compact car for as low as 6-7millionTsh.
well for me,i would say life here is just cool, peaceful and quiet if you have stuff to do that generates income for you.
Its also a wonderful destination for a vacation if you love nature alot as they have alot of islands and beaches too...
Feel free to ask questions anytime...

Catch yall later...

well if you are a student, its prohibited for you to seek employment or work while studying.
the cost i quoted on the last post was for purchase of a car and not for cost of education.dont mix it up
all airlines go there so its a matter of choice.

same referral process.you need to have a tanzanian host willing to invite you over...The immigration will hold them responsible if you abscond, overstay or get involved in illegal activities...most of them gets sacred when it comes to nigerians but when u have ur cash you can always work your way around.

Then tell us how you think we can relocate there.

Otherwise, this thread has no purpose other than to fuel illegal immigration to that place.
