cool They tell us the cost of business name registration is N5,000 naira but you end up paying more when you choose to receive the business registration certificate .... Why is this government like this? The aim of registration is to obtain the certificate, so why not make the certificate part of the N5,000 naira registration fee? Why do you have to pay for certificate separately outside of the 5K registration feehuh Please can someone explainhuh
The csrtificate is part of it

I did it for a friend last week and paid 10k. A lawyer said I shouldn't have checked the box for certificate so I became confused. Would we have been given the certificate if I didn't make the extra 5k payment which was meant for Registration certificate

No, just business name alone i.e Enterprise, it doesn't include LTD asin company or NGO , and the 5k is just political talks. You can NEVER use 5k to register a business name. And I'll advice you to use a lawyer. I'm not saying you should contact me because I am one, just get anyone you are okay with.

But if you decide to contact me, then I will register a business name, Ltd or NGO for you with a more reasonable price. I'm based in Abuja.

Anyone interested can mention me. Happy sallah

When they say get a lawyer, una go think say we won chop una money. It's our profession and we are trained on this. I register business name and limited and within a week, you'll get your certificate. NGO takes longer because of the newspaper publication which takes 28 days. Mention me if you are interested or mail me

It is not true brother. The 5000 naira covers everything including the certificate.

If anyone charge you extra, then you should know that you are being ripped off.

Before you visit their office, hold your Acceptable ID (like National ID Card, D License, Voters Card, Int'l Passport, etc), a passport photo, and lastly select 3 Optional names for your business name. Don't forget to write down like 5 activities which your business will be engaging in, to define your business.
Then, of course, your 5K and possibly some Roger to encourage the CAC staff do your job faster and smoothly (Naija factor).

Then, Good success to your business.

It should be a permanent fixture and extension. Business name registration should not be more than 5000 Naira. And the CAC website should be very interactive and more sophisticated than it currently is. Using the Corporate Affairs Commission website should be a amazing experience for Nigerians and foreigners alike. Cheers.

Exactly what I'm saying.... Will you a certified true copy of the certificate if you don't make that selection when registering?? Because choosing that attracts extra money?

If you are in P.h, i can help with your business name registration for a token... Plus the promo has been on even before may 13th to August 13th,and now extended again. Those guys need cash. The promo strategy worked, hence the constant extension of promo dates.
It's a good initiative, it has been extended constantly because information is hard to grab in Nigeria,i'm only just hearing about it. Besides, same Nigerians will still say the government is insensitive for not extending the date.

Mind you, over half of SMSES in Nigeria are not registered; curbing this is the major idea behind this rebate.
