jesmond3945:Hahaha you're a serious joke, I am laughing really hard. Did I hear zinox or whatever you call it? Bro with our resources, The white men wouldn't stand a chance to compete with us at anything, the moment you realize we are underperforming here in Africa the better for you. 1 Like 1 Share |

stanliwise:i am sorry for you. Every country has resources even europe they have resources. Why are you laughing about zinox? Does intel manufacture processors in US? Does apple manufacture phones in US? Does ARM manufacture processors in UK? Same thing with zinox. Infact zinox is more rugged than hp or even dell. It doesnt crash easily. Very good nigerian product. Let me tell if you dont know, all tech companies design and china or japan manufactures for them because of cheap labour and lax enviromental laws. 1 Like 1 Share |

jesmond3945:Quite the nonsense talk about zinox, Zinox is product that hasn't expanded it's market beyond petty supplies to government, if Nigeria was a serious country, zinox would be an Icon of Africa but sadly it isn't. Mind you I have a zinox desktop here in my house. So quit the stories. And stop trying to educate me about how phones and cars are produced by different companies, fact is you're writing a saop opera story that wouldn't explain why we have bad roads, dilapidated infrastructure and why till today we couldn't celebrate 1-year of uninterrupted power supply. If you're not an just a fanatic you would have notice Nigeria has oil that when properly managed the wealth would out muscle even the US and China combined together. You would be shocked that Ferrari would be a Cab here in Nigeria. Almost all Nigerian would be millionaires. You are really just annoying me with your self pity talk. Africa is the most blessed of all continent if you talk of natural resources but Apple inc Net worth comfortably out muscled the full GDP of the entire Africa. We should be truely ashamed. I shake my head for you and your medocrity mindset. 4 Likes 1 Share |

stanliwise:let me see the picture of your zinox desktop. If you are angry with Nigeria, thats fine but just know every country have their own problems look at what is happening in hong kong. Oil wealth cannot make you outmuscle any body but ICT and technology. If you want ferrari to be a cab here, please ask yourself whether it is a cab in UK. Apple did it because you bought into their propaganda here but china never did. Like I said oil would only give you 100 billion, ICT would give you 1 trillion. You can start by learning how to code and become the next apple. 1 Like 1 Share |

jesmond3945:You are just a wretched mediocre see how intelligent you escape the "bad roads, poor infrastructures, lack of power supply and insecirity and quickly jump into the apple topic" hahahhahah . since you can only blame others for Africa mismanagement and claim that apple was rich because of propaganda. I don't argue with trolls and naive mindset. Saved the remaining of your victim mentality you're carry, strong hold of the past and tell this to your children when they come to see the Africa we have created for them. Tell them the whites evil was what left us in mismanagement and poor leadership after more than 70 years of freedom. Tell them the white propaganda stop us from creating a better life for ourselves. Don't expect a reply from me if your next response is about mediocrity and pointing fingers. 3 Likes 1 Share |

@stanliwise U really have time? The moment he kept dodging ques about bad road, power supply, bad hospitals, u shud have left him. Maybe its Apple's fault we have bad road filled with potholes. And he dodged south africa too. They were colonized for a longer period yet no bad rounds like the ones found in Nigeria. So whats the issue? Rain falls and NEPA takes the "light" as its normally called, is that the fault of slave trade? 2 Likes 1 Share |

@stanliwise You're too correct in your every words that guy is just twisting his words and can't accept the truth... i as an upcoming programmer my intention is to bring new software and hardware from Africa to the world... OP that said there is nothing to code again maybe he is not serious as like me before but as of now i am analysing every apps and Games created by white men to bring out new one especially the one African countries will first love... African and white people are different just as America and China are so we can make difference and stop looking forward to them in aspect of our lives likes... 1 Like 1 Share |

MountainView: You are right. However, only Software Developers can have this thought. Believe me, Software Engineers always create new codes. They build and update the IDEs (Visual Studio, Android Studio, etc). They update programming languages to new versions. They create new databases, structures and tools that the devs built on and use. If this amaze you, check out the Nairaland App in my signature and also my profile for a thread discussing innovation. |

tinkshak: If you watch Snake in the City on Discovery Family or NatGeo Wild, you'll see many episodes of snakes entering 'black homes' and they call the white guy/his gf for help removing it. I everytime I see those blacks trembling and shaking and keeping a distance away from the snake even after it's been captured safely. Most of these black are South Africans tho. The whites really blessed South-Africans. This simple example makes me understand that a significant percentage of blacks have totally lost their heritage, culture, native sense and mostly the 'African Spirit' which ought to drive us as creative and fearless humans in the African jungle and cities as the cradle of all human life on Earth. Even when a black man is given food to eat, he would still ask white man how to eat the food. (our mineral resources). In Nigeria, we basically depend on the whites intelligence to do every little thing. In primary and secondary school, I was lashed for speaking my mother tongue in class, we called our own language vernacular. Right in our country, even after the whites have left for decades. Well, I do not argue about the white supremacy in intelligence though it cannot be overemphasized that our brain are actually equal in capacity, comprehension and intelligence. . We just need a new orientation. A new culture and jurisdiction for the future generations. If you want to do one more thing that matters, why don't you join an Open Source project @OP, send me a message or chat me up on the App in my signature. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Free the guy, Let him go and read "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" written by John Perkins and other similar work by the same author such as "A Game as Old as Empire: the Secret World of Economic Hit Men and the Web of Global Corruption (2007),", "The Secret History of the American Empire (2007)" and Hoodwinked: An Economic Hit Man Reveals Why the World Financial Markets Imploded – and What We Need to Do to Remake Them (2009). Probably his opinions about Africa slow pace development might change. See Wikipedia link about the book https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confessions_of_an_Economic_Hit_Man jesmond3945: |

stanliwise: I share same... Sorry for what I wrote earlier. It's because that first point of yours just came out of nowhere and wasn't totally relative to the topic. I believe, like you do, that Africans should stop the blame game and move on. |
Re: Is It That There Is Nothing To Code Anymore? by Xandelle: 10:14am On Oct 13, 2019 |
jesmond3945:Where is the self hatred? He has valid points.Africans and to a large extent, blacks in general should do away with the blame game. His first comment may have come out harshly and out of nowhere...but if by this time you don't see his reasons, then you're just being stubborn for nothing. Thoughts like yours encourage mediocrity and laxity in Africans. If you keep looking for excuses everywhere, you will find excuses for everything, and you will ultimately be left behind. I believe that's Paul Kagame who you called a true African because he came upstage and said what you wanted to hear... But this same man has been in power for decades... He is building a strong personality, but not strong institutions. If he's made away with, Rwanda becomes shattered pebbles. He's part of the problem. |
Re: Is It That There Is Nothing To Code Anymore? by jesmond3945: 1:19pm On Oct 13, 2019 |
Xandelle:i beg to disagree. he is building institutions, he just opened african's first smart phone manufacturing plant. The day I would stop blaming whiteman is when shell and exxon leave Nigeria and europe still buy oil from us which I know won't happen. Are you not concerned that these companies have been sucking us since independence? are they not tired? they give nnpc 50% and take 50% back to their countries in the name of JV. How can you develop with only 50% of your wealth? Yes it is self hatred, you know why they systematically plundered us which made us look to them for help and despising our efforts in the process. |
