asslicking you say? can you mention any player that i have put up here that is not worth having a look at in the current eagles set up? if clamoring for a 30 year old nwakaeme to be invited to the national team again at the expense of younger talents who are doing well in their respective clubs then i prefer to be sucking asses rather making a case for dead woods. cheesy

I said someone did well in turkey and was not invited and you want someone that score 6 goals in 20 games to be invited?

Anyway nwakaeme is not a striker okay, i will pick the younger ones over him

But if na naija brought up player dey paok una no go remember am ooo

So a 30 years playing for a national team is a crime abi?

Just as a 30 years old ighalo was the top scorer in afcon ahead of all younger strikers from different national teams in the afcon

You can tell that to the france coach who took an old giroud ahead of a younger and inform lacazette to the world cup

At the bolded chuba akpom is not there because he did below average, but your asslicking have made you blind so am not surprised.

He has been in the squad so far this season and he already made his debut. Odey had a good league and Europa league campaign.

He has barely played for Genk apart from a cameo appearance. The season is long, i hope he picks a regular shirt and scores a few.

akpom's invite is still a rumor that is yet to be confirmed. how sure are you that any of awoniyi or okereke's name is not in the list that is yet to be made public?

If akpom is invited you will not see me rant as i will support the team, i have never rant against any players in the eagles

I have no problem with any player the coach invites if rohr like make e no even invite okereke self because na here my opinion go die put

But i am giving you my own point but you are blinded by asslicking an english player

The only time you can not lie is if you were born in a country with automatic birth data capture.

Or if you came to the country very young like Iwobi and Fred Onyedinma. It's very easy to see your progression from primary school and local football it's very well documented.

Okay i see

Nwakeame deserves another shout but not as a striker. He should play from the left.

The basis for selection should always be outstanding consistent top quality performances in club and league.

What has Nwakeame done that convinces you I n recent times❓

"If" you said.

Just like "If" Isaac Success finds back his form with Watford.

So until then, we will rate him based on what we have seen of him thus far.

Then, you should not have written him off in the first place.

They only played 3 matches and he made 2 appearances. Genk are league champions so if he is already getting time you should know there is nothing to worry about.

He had 10 goals and 10 assists in 27 games last season playing from the left wing.

Those are great numbers. I understand the Turkish league isn't great but it is better than Belgium in terms of quality.

Is akpom the only striker to be called up for the Ukraine game? He is one of the uncapped players to be tested so few untested players will added to the list. Let's wait until the list is out haba!
If you consider Akpom good enough for this Ukraine friendly, then Ajagun deserves a call up too......

and you are sentimetally blind recommending a 30 year old player to the suer eagles when they are lots of untested younger players scattered all over europe.

mind you akpom have never been my favorite and i have not for once made a case for him to be incorporated to the team at the expense of players at his age or even younger that are doing better. all i am trying to say is that i see nothing wrong in trying him out in a test game and i still stand on my words.

if rohr tried to smuggle him in to the afcon team i would have been the first to raise alarm here but the ukraine game is a friendly which other nations utilize such to have a look on players who are yet t be tested or have not gotten adequate time in the team previously.

i never said nwakaeme is not doing well in his turkish team but he offered nothing new when tried against algeria and also 30 years old already. his case would have been different if we lack talented personnel in the position he plays.

mikel and ighalo who were among the leaders in the team just retired so the right thing to do is scout and monitor young talents who can take up their places in the team as replacement rather than bringing in a 30 year old

i am not even against him playing in the turkish league but his age and also he has nothing new to offer the team. dude is old and it makes no sense bringing in a player at that age who will last a year or 2 with the team when we have younger talented players in the same position. it makes no sense!

Your reation to this is exactly my reaction to these shouts of Akpom I've been hearing. If the standard is that lowered then bring in players the standard matches. Simple.

Yardstick Effect, nothing more (shrugs)

Age shouldn't be the SIU measurement for players selection into the National team. Performance should be the major criterion for selection.

I hope they dont score Cameroun's Score when on the global spotlight this time around. Im outpressed. Lots of gray areas needing finesse. But an improvement is there.

I did not rant they should bring a 30 years old nah, but i said a 30 year old being in the national team is not a crime, if you see that as a crime then you know nothing about football as you are already judging a player with just a game

I am sure if your favorite player was invited and have a bad 1st game you wont say such, and nwakaeme is not a striker thats is competing with your favorite akpom so save your self the stress, onyekuru have not seen chance to play so no be nwakaeme go come see chance, you are just trying to use his age as an arguement

Bros chuba akpom performance have been below average stop being blinded by asslicking

at least he is just 23 and possibility of doing better than he did last term in the colors of greek champions paok is visible enough to see. wasn't the likes of onuachu and the same nwakaeme banging in goals when he was still in israel when rohr invited oshimeh consistently even when he wasn't seeing game time in the bundesliga?
