I hope they dont score Cameroun's Score when on the global spotlight this time around. Im outpressed. Lots of gray areas needing finesse. But an improvement is there.
Yes, they need to improve a bit on their free-throws, and their 3-point shooting. Otherwise, they’ve been impressive so far

at least he is just 23 and possibility of doing better than he did last term in the colors of greek champions paok is visible enough to see. wasn't the likes of onuachu and the same nwakaeme banging in goals when he was still in israel when rohr invited oshimeh consistently even when he wasn't seeing game time in the bundesliga?

Good then let the season begins let him improve on his form

Na me no want make dem invite akpom, but na me still dey peep weda e go score for paok yesterday just as he did in the first leg

But the player wey i no send na him come impress me for rosenborg

I am not the coach, but sorry dude was below average last season and not better than what we have

bro actually i was surprised when i saw here that akpom is one of of the players likely to be tested in the friendly game with ukraine and at the same time i saw nothing wrong with it.

he is not among my top 3 players to cover the vacuum ighalo's retirement created but on a 2nd thought he is young and can still fulfill the promise he once showed as a youth player both with arsenal and england.

trying him in a friendly wont be a bad idea and seem more ideal than inviting a 30 year old who have been tried but didn't take his chance.

my top 4 players to replace ighalo are:

iheanacho(if he rediscover his form)

okereke

oshimeh

awoniyi

but that doesn't imply that i wouldnt appreciate the invite of an outsider who have shown great form in his respective club at the expense of one of my preferred options or any that the coaching crew think can bring more quality to the team. all i am against is calling up a 30 year old who wont last in the team

daveP:
Lol ya funny o.

Your words were " i see nothing wrong in him trying out a test game, and i stand on my words"

Cos of you, im bringing up Ajagun and if you know, you know. Lol.

Nobody dey commit suicide. Simple. Na you just dey hala..

Well mata don die now as list don commot. I hope they both get a callup for the next test game. grin

akpom is not among my preferred players to replace ighalo but what i am trying to say is that he is young and the possibility to rediscover his old form is feasible.

if rohr wants to try him out in any of the friendlies in the future i see nothing wrong with that and if he flops i will be first to agitate for him not coming close to the team ever again.

Its like the case of ajagun whom many here say that i hate, i was among the few who was pained when the late keshi ignored him sevrally when he was doing well in his first and 2nd season in the colors of greek giants panathinaikos that featured constantly then in the uel. his case and that of haruna lukman, taiye taiwo and few others made me hate keshi so much that i almost lost interest in my darling super eagles. keshi instead preferred gabriel reuben and his likes t the expense of the aforementioned players who were doing well week in week out in their respective clubs.

i am not a sentimental person but very blunt and say things the way i see them.

awww...
please someone should advise Rohr to stop calling up Onachu for now...let either of awoniyi or okereke take his place until he improves...or call up additional midfielder QPR Eze Eberechi

I so much love Henry and Awoniyi move....
both players really got rohr's medicine this time.. the old German is addicted to the French and German league...a good performance from both lad he won't ignore.

let's watch how things unfold...I am so happy that Oshimen may likely be the starting striker

He has a very bright future. ..there is a possibility of him being in the epl next season if he keep playing well and being that he is now an international many clubs may catch on him....

when I watched some of clips...I was so happy being that we were not able to get Billy Anyanwu..this guy to me is more rough and better than Billy.

I am still praying we steal one of future Berkeley or Dele from England few years Time.

if i were to be from the western part of nigeria many here will say i am making a case for the lad just because he is from my tribe or because he is english born but the reverse is the case. i made made out time to watch the kid play.

he is a very good player and have the qualities to metamorphose into a midfield power horse but still in the rough. he is very strong, mobile, aggressive,a good dribbler, tackler and carrier of the ball, have decent passing range and scores as well.

another thing that makes him unique is his physique and as well being blessed with a sweet left foot.

he is not the finish product yet but his qualities and hunger to succeed is evident and clear. in him we have a good talent.

another to watch out for in the future is arsenal's youth teamer james olayinka. the kid is a promising cm midfielder in the mold of aribo but right footed

He had 10 goals and 10 assists in 27 games last season playing from the left wing.

Those are great numbers. I understand the Turkish league isn't great but it is better than Belgium in terms of quality.

Actually it's quite good but not exactly IMPRESSIVE.

I am not saying is he Robben but it's good enough then let's compare him to other left sided players and see who is more deserving.

This is one of the major problems when you come back from injury. You need to gradually fund your feet if you rush you could cause yourself permanent damage.

You need a good set of professional support to help you through this period.

God knows that i have never clamored for the inclusion of akpom in the team but see nothing wrong in trying him out in a friendly instead handing such opportunity to a 30 year old.

last term have been his most prolific season since he turned professional which is evident that he is working hard to get better, have already scored few goals in his team's preseason games with a goal also against ajax in the ucl qualifiers and currently poak's top striker so all this shows he his doing something right to get better. let's wait until the season ends.

Belgian First Division A club Racing Genk have demanded that FC Midtjylland should sell their striker Paul Onuachu within a week.

Genk have confirmed that they have made a bid for the Nigeria international but the Danish Superliga side are playing hardball, having previously rejected a bid.

The Belgian champions are willing to acquire Onuachu for six million euros but the Danes have put a twelve million euros price tag on the striker's head.

''There is no ultimatum. But it goes without saying that we now want clarity quickly,'' says Dimitri De Condé, sports director at KRC Genk, to Het Belang van Limburg.

''If the deal does not come through, then we have to explore other routes. We want to know where we stand within a week."

Onuachu, who has not played for FC Midtjylland this season, was part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2019 AFCON.
