First of all it depends on what you define MAKING IT too mean.

How many players have been given huge accolades at youth level and never made it. Too many to mention, that's why l am not a fan of giving accolades to youth players who haven't achieved anything. At best indicative but not conclusive.

There is a big difference to youth players playing first team football and making it like Ryan Ssegnon, etc.

Do you remember Rabui Ibrahim everything was said about him the next JJay, etc, etc But where is he now.

Komekn.

I was playing football manager in the year 2022 and I was seeing stars like Baba Rahman being part of Chelsea squad, Kurt Zouma being Chelsea captain and Manu Garcia being the best player at Man city

I was wondering why did these talents fall along the way?
Has not by any means fallen away, he had some injuries and right now he is back in the Chelsea first team after a good season with Everton.

Iorfa started ahead of Odubajo in RB. Why didn’t Odubajo replace him? Might have been a tactical change. Milwall had a man sent off just before half time.

See excerpt:
Murphy again came close as Wednesday looked to press home their advantage following Wallace's 43rd-minute dismissal, but the winger fired over after getting on the end of Dominic Iorfa's cut-back.

Iorfa was replaced by Barry Bannan at half-time as the Owls sought to pressure the 10 men and the Scot was immediately influential, floating a sublime pass to Steven Fletcher, who fired straight at Bialkowski.

Iorfa was so poor today he got yanked off after the first 45mins

it's a different level, sometimes, they aren't ready for it, so, it overwhelms them, sometimes, circumstances beyond them halts their progress.

It happens to a lot of talented sportsmen and women. In youth football, there's a pretty even ground, but in senior football, you're sharing a pitch with people who have been in the profession much longer than you, they have a wealth of experience.

It's like being so gifted in your class, that you get thrown into a class that is two classes above your initial class, in the middle of the school year and you have to catch up with your new peers, it can be overwhelming, and eventually, those who can't keep up, fall aside. So many of these players are already psychologically out of the game before the end of the first half of their debut season
An intelligent and beautiful exposition. Nne i admire your brains.

Ok is it that they lose their talent or they can't do what they have been doing?

A player that can dribble 4 people at 18 can't he dribble 4 people at 22?
It doe's not necessarily follow.

Depending on the league and quality of club it may be easy to dribble in one league but much harder in another league.

The same thing follows goal scoring because you scored in one league doesn't mean you will in another.

When you look at Sana, Raheem, Mahrez, Gabriel, Aguero, De Bryne, etc. You may think that they have limited skill and cannot dribble.

However, with the system they play dribbling slows the game down and doesn't help the one touch quick pass and blistering pace and move that gives them so advantage over others teams.

END PRODUCT is the key issue bot necessarily dribbling.
