The London Metropolitan Police Service(LMPS) and the Department of State Services (DSS) have received petition to investigate documents tendered by President Buhari at the presidential election tribunal. The documents were said to have been obtained from Cambridge University, London.

The cable reported on Wednesday, August 14, that it has recieved copies of the petition, which was forwarded by a Nigerian lawyer, Kalu Kalu Agu.

The president’s chief of staff, Abba kyari had earlier told the tribunal that he obtained the ‘documents’ from Cambridge University.

He said ” I personally collected and signed the documents on behalf of the president”.

The examination body based in UK oversaw the conduct of final year secondary school examination in Nigeria and placement into foreign Universities in the 1960s.

In the two petitions forwarded by Agu, the Uk-based lawyer questioned the authenticity of the ‘ Certifying Statement’ said to have been obtained from Cambridge Assessment International Education(AIE).

He ordered the DSS and UK police to commence investigation into the circumstance leading to the procurement.
