I wonder how long u have been on this thread. Most of the time it’s a case sentiments over logic here

BARAJ92:
The simple fact is, we don't have any goal keeper for now. The best we can do till we get a proper goal keeper is to do try and error even with the old keeper until we get a befitting retirement.
No one is clamouring for old players in other positions because we have adequate replacement and better upgrade.

Your logic are laced with hidden sentiments Joebie. Not all can read that. Ejide indeed.... Look, you must not find a logical solution to everything. It makes you no longer differentiate mediocrity from true talents.

First it was Ujah... Now I hear Ejide... Nothing I won't read on here in the name of building this new generation. Loolll... Funny...

What virus, El haddary keep for Egypt uptil 45 years old. mention one Nigeria goal keeper that is performing at club level. Is it the error prone Akpeyi and Ezenwa.
Ejide will be flattered you think he's on El Haddry's level.

He will enter that team and instantly feel out of place, certainly the oldest guy on the team, even Mikel that came to the team years after his debut, has retired.....but that doesn't matter. Just throw him in and hope he forms a chemistry with the back four

We need as much experience at the moment

No, not by age, by time spent together

I don't know what logic to use, but the best I can find is when an older student joins a class. He's old first of all, the others have been together for years, they are of the same age bracket, so, they have things in common. The older new student will not blend in with the rest, now, in a school, you can just keep your head down and block the kids, but in football, you have to play with these kids and bond with them.

Bonding is easier among people of similar ages and periods. Ejide debuted for the Super Eagles in 2001, for perspective, Maduka was months old on his debut, some others on the same team were less than 5-years old. This part is something a lot of people don't put into consideration, but it matters.

I am not saying Ejide should not be called up, I just don't know how effective it will turn out, considering the psychological angle. Till then sha, let us see what the kids can do, I can't imagine the officials have Ejide in mind anytime soon

I guess Osimhen was also mediocre in his uncertain state while in Germany. I guess I also clamoured for his immediate invite to the SE abi? I always kept saying Osimhen would eventually come good and contribute his unreal talents to the SE cause and it is happening now... Where were you then?

K.Nwakali is struggling but his talent is not in doubt. Osimhen has been there... But is firing on all cylinders. I never once gave up on the lad even when he was lashed here. Same with Awoniyi.

SMH... I doubt you know talent, Andrew.

Nobody will give up on a young player

But you want a team B player in the eagles as if we dont have better players

Why not wait till dude get a decent club first?

When i hear nwakali is joining huesca i was more happier than you,but you will think i dont like him

A team B player is not even needed on eagles bench.

Neither of Uzoho, Maduka or Ezenwa is ready to take over the mantle of Nigeria's no 1

Maybe we should try Ejide until one of them is mature enough or we find another person

I dont know between ezenwa and uzoho who is better

But Akpeyi is a write off
Using stats and figures without sentiments and emotions, Akpeyi is better than them both bar his jittery, but was a bit composed towards the end of AFCON.

He's the best of them all when it comes to saving 1-1 and ball distribution.

Anyone can argue this with facts and figures. But left to me, both Akpeyi and Ezenwa won't smell the SE after AFCON because they can't get better again no matter what

You never know some of the young keepers we have may be familiar with Ejide and they may look up to him in the process. It can actually go either way. It’s not like I think NFF or Rohr will look his way. I’m just stating the fact that it’s not out of place to invite him considering our current predicament
