President Buhari Sends Message To D’Tigress

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to the national female basketball team, D’Tigress, Igbere TV reports.


Igbere TV had reported that Nigeria’s D’Tigress Sunday night defeated Senegal 60-55 in the final of the 2019 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket. In doing so, the Nigerians have retained the title they won two years ago in Mali.

In the congratulatory message, President Buhari said Nigerians are proud of them.

He said : "Congratulations to the national female basketball team, D’Tigress. African Champions again! You have risen to the occasion, and conquered the continent one more time. We are very proud of what you have accomplished. The entire country rejoices with you!"
