I love Honda. The car rocks
I have used both Honda and Toyota and will choose Honda anyday.
Toyota main advantage is its fuel consumption intracity . Toyota is highly fuel efficient.
But Honda is adorable , pleasing , comfortable, with a feel of being in a car . Most Toyota cars feel like cut and sow especially corrolas.
It depends on the person anyway

The problem is with Nigerians not the car, there is a specific timeline to replace this.you buy a 15-year-OLD car of which the ball joint should have been changed at 10 years and you xpect different.

For honda owners and lovers like us, these are not issues at all. Driving honda is bae. The drive quality, sound system, interior and exterior design is way beyond the league of Toyota. Don't forget that Honda engine doesn't die.

You can't go wrong with a Civic, no ball joint issue. But if you wanna do Accord, you've got to pay attention to the warning signs that the ball joint gives, if you act accordingly you'll be fine with Accord too.

Honda's got one of the best interiors and except u are going for avalon, more recent corollas or top of the range camrys, you just might be disappointed with what Toyota is offering in that segment

Currently experiencing #3 for my Honda Pilot.

Have used 3 Honda in the last 10 years (Civic, EOD $ Pilot) and never experienced that common issue - #1.

Generally, I consider Honda a decent, low-maintenance car.

I learnt Honda pilot no dey burst leg for road , how true and how is the vehicle like, someone should help with details.

Have a Pilot 2007 that I bought almost a year ago. No ball joint issue so far. I have also never seen any Honda Pilot "burst leg" for road. I think the ball joint issue applies mostly to Honda Accord 2003-2007 (EOD & DC) and occasionally Civic 2005-2007.

Most of the Honda cars you are talking about is about 20 year old
what do you expect from a 20 years old car

The ball joint problem is a Nigerian road problem. I have not seen 1 honda car in 4 years with a dislocated ball joint here in USA. This information might help buyers know that it is a bad road issue and not the car itself

If that is the case then it is simply not good enough for Nigerian roads..

The real problem is incompetent mechanics substitute Ib manufacturer recommended fluids.

Manufacturer says dot 3 they put dot 4
Manufacturer says Honda transmission fluid only, they put generic dexron 2
Put radiator coolant, they put water

Then when car parts start to fail, they say car has a problem.

All these and more may be true but the fact still remains that Toyota cars are also subjected to the same abuse and they are much less likely to break down..

There two types of ball joints for Honda EOD and DC, the one with a tiny neck and the one with a thick neck.
Always ensure you go for the one with a thick neck. With this, your EOD or DC will not be experiencing ball joints failure no matter how rough the road is.
