Because he's not going there to play sports but to manage those doing it and also to bring new ideas to the ministry. Go and read his bio. He's not just a journalist. (was once in NCC). Earthquake1: |

Earthquake1:A minister is an administrator. The ministry is charged with making policy and providing a direction. The most important element is managing people. Some great footballers are terrible coaches while some who did not play are excellent coaches. |

SE HOPEFULS BEST XI (ROUND 2) REASONS: CF David Okereke keeps his CF spot in this week's Best XI due to his unmatched 4 goals tally for a CF so far this season, although failing to make an impact in the last round of matches in both the Belgian top flight and in Europe. However, with a little bit of consistency from Josh Maja, who came from the bench to score for Bordeaux on Saturday, Okereke's position in the team will come under threat next week especially considering he plays in a lower rated league compared to the French Ligue 1, and has failed to make an impact after 3 Champions League qualification matches. ADVANCED MIDFIELD Sheyi Ojo takes the RW/RM spot after bagging a goal and two assists against Midtjylland in Europa League qualification. Sheyi has been on fire in both the Scottish Premiership and in Europe this season with a handful of goals and assists often operating from the left. Similarly, Samuel Eduok has been in fine form in Croatia. Featuring as a CF over the weekend, he got another assist to his name adding to his prevous tally of 3 goals and 2 assists after 4 matches in the 1.HNL. He makes this week's team at the expense of Ebere Eze. Eze did not come to party in QPR's latest matches. After starting the season with an impressive goal in the first round, and bagging an MOTM award in the second round, Eze's impact have not been felt lately, as his club has suffered two consecutive losses within the last 7 days. Abduljalil Ajagun is the undisputed best Nigerian player playing as an AM so far this season. He followed his scintillating performance penultimate weekend with another beautiful assist last Saturday. If his imposing performances in the Jupiler league so far are anything to go by, Ajagun deserves a call up to the Super Eagles. CM Ovie Ejaria is arguably the best CM in the Championship after featuring in just 2 from a total of 4 rounds of matches. After an impressive start for Reading in his first game this season in the 3rd round, he was named to the Whoscored Championship Team of the week. He followed it up with another Whoscord MOTM recognition scoring away in West Bromwich just this evening. Ejaria knocks off Joe Aribo, who is no longer eligible to make the team of SE Hopefuls as the latter has been called up by Gernot Rohr for the Ukraine friendly billed for September. DM Due to lack of good competition in the DM position, Anderson Esiti maintains his place in the team. He gave a good account of himself playing against Ajax twice in UEFA Champions league qualification. Coming closely, is QPR's Luke Amos who has enjoyed lots of game time for QPR this term. Azubuike Okechukwu made his Istanbul BB debut in the Super Lig last Saturday, but was subbed off after just 46 minutes in their away loss to Yeni Malatyaspor. FULL-BACKS Felix Agu has been a standout performer in Bundesliga II. So far, he has been utilized by Osnabrueck as a RFB, LFB, and RWB, and has not disappointed each time. He helped his club demolish Darmstadt on Monday outclassing Mandela Egbo who coincidentally played RB for the visitors. Felix beat Mandela in all stats except in the number of successful tackles. Felix finished with a WhoScored rating of 7.71 as opposed to Egbo's 5.92. Both players clocked 90mins for their respective sides. Left Back, Chima Okoroji maintains his position as best Left back after clocking another 90 minutes for Jahn Ragensburg in their 1-0 away loss to Greater Furerth. He finished with a WhoScored Rating of 7.10. Okoroji has played every single minute this season in the German second-tier. CENTER-BACKS Fikayo Tomori is named to the team after coming from Chelsea's bench in their super cup loss to Liverpool. Royal Antwerp's Junior Pius loses his place from last week's team, as he has not returned from injury. Tosin Adarabioyo has not made Blackburn's match day squad in the last two rounds as he was not passed fit for both encounters. Minnesota United Center-back, Ike Opara makes the team. He has been named to the official MLS Team of the Week 4 times within the past two months. Opara was named alongside Nedum Onuoha in a 3-man defense, in the latest Team of the Week (Week 24) released Monday. Opara is still eligible to represent Nigeria as he has only been capped once by the USMNT in a friendly last year. GK Blank What's your take?

Danish Superliga side Odense Boldklub have announced the capture of Nigeria international Kingsley Madu following a successful trial. The 23-year-old left-back had been searching for a new team following his release by Zulte Waregem at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign. On his curriculum vitae, Madu lists Golden Boot Soccer Academy, El-Kanemi Warriors, AS Trencin and KSV Roeselare as his former employers. He has signed a contract with Odense Boldklub which runs until the summer of 2020. Speaking on his transfer to the three-time Danish champions, Madu said : ''In a short time I got a really good impression of the club and the city. ''The teammates and everyone around the team have been incredibly nice to me and I already feel like part of the squad. ''I am a strong and fast left back who will always do my best and I will do everything to win. ''I would like to thank OB for giving me a contract and I am very much looking forward to being able to pay back on the pitch and help the club move in the right direction''. The 2016 Rio Olympic Games bronze medalist will play with the number 18 jersey at Odense Boldklub. |

Ex Nigeria U17 and 20 defender Lukman Zakari made a shock move to Spanish Laliga side Real Betis from unfancied Latvian side FS Metta, a team that almost dropped to the second division at the end of last season in Latvia. Zakari joined the team last season but his move happened with just few games till the end of the season, hence he didn’t get to play in any of their remaining games even though he was registered by the team. Many didn’t know that shortly after he made the move he was few details away from joining champions of Africa Esperance without even kicking a ball for his new team. The move didn’t happen as both teams fail to agree on terms of the deal particularly on the structure of the payment of his transfer fee. As expected the disappointment made the 21 year old to rebel against the Latvian club but after a method with the management of the team and his team of advisers led by his mentor Mohammed ‘Mowiz ‘ Suleiman he returned back to Latvia to resume his career at Metta. ” I remember Mowiz telling me to give it my all at Metta and forget about what happened in Tunisia that even though Metta isn’t one of the biggest team in the country, I can still standout if I play to my potential. He advised me to make up with my agent, the club and those I offended when the move to Esperance broke down”, Zakari revealed. The over six feet tall defender did just that and on his debut for the team against Daugavpils he was pivotal to the team winning the game by 1-0 and he followed it up with another man of the match display against Riga even though they lost 1-2. He took it to another level against Ventspils in his third game for the team which they won 2-0 and earned his third straight man of the match award and team of the week nomination. News started spreading about his performance particularly his ability to defend and attack when the need arises. So much that against RFS he scored a brace to help them draw 2-2. A move to MS Ashdod was suppose to happen two months ago but the move came almost same time as the interest from Real Betis who have been tracking him for three months, the same period where he made the team of the week in the league ten times in 13 games. Scouts of the team watched him and were entirely pleased with his composure on the ball and his ability to play from the back and a move was sharply agreed on and last week he arrived Spain for medicals. However before leaving Latvia he went into the record books as the first player to appear in the team of the week 17 times in 20 games and his move was also the biggest transfer from the league to a top five league in Europe. |

komekn:he scored a lot of penalty in ligue 1 and he sure had a lot of playing time but in arsenal he's not on penalty duty and he hardly ever play 90min in some games last season he was outrightly benched, so saying he's not performing up to standard is misinformation |

charlesemeka85:if we are able to get this guy and eberechi eze into our midfield set up.... then our midfield woes will be over.... we can now concentrate on the defense and goal keeping department... heard Rohr wanna call up Felix agu... I am so happy, pray he gets his passport before then.... and hopefully with additional one or two CB inclusion we're good to go. hopefully we get Tomori or Udokhai then that's solved...we can start prepare for the world cup in Qatar.... prior then maduka, alampasu,uzoho...one amongst them will come good and lay hold on the number 1 shirt |

Barryseal:There has been some buzz about this kid already this season. He has put in some top drawer performances. He played about 17 games in the third tier last year but some of his performances this season have been quality. I have only heard good things. Jamilu Collins was also in the third tier and picked from the 2nd tier where he played for a newly promoted side. I guess Rohr wants a closer look at the kid. |

Barryseal:He plays for a Bundesliga 2 side. He plays a similar position with Ebuehi. Paderbon was a Bundesliga 3 side 2 seasons ago but they play in the top flight now. This is the best time to pick this kid. Once Germany get interested, we have no hope. |
