If its a favorite item, check the weight including the packaging, the cost per kg...then compare with a similar one here using amazon.ca, bestbuy or Walmart. Generally, the kitchens here are fully fitted which includes a functional fridge and cooker oven. The items are affordable once you begin to earn CAD, n stop using naija calculator in your head like me. I came with pots cos I had it as a gift n was still unused. Avoid anything that can break in the cargo. #myopinion

Pls Claire18, do you think it's advisable to cargo rice cooker, deep fryer, halogen oven and all those other kitchen appliances I already have to CND?

Its not an issue.
If it is, you will get a mail.

Hello.

I am Over 5 months post aor, and I just realised a small error when I filled my EE.
I entered 50hrs as my hours worked per week instead of 45 hrs as stated on the reference letter I submitted.
I entered 50hrs because I didn’t deduct my hourly break per week.

I hope this won’t be a problem.

Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by padix: 1:19pm On Aug 21, 2019
Hello guys, I am am over 5months post Aor and I have a little concern regarding my proof of funds,
I gave my spouse about 16500 CAD in November last year as support because she is the primary applicant. and i work as a systems analyst.

The account history for 6months before we submitted our application is as follows:

Sep 2018 --- 4300 CAD
October 2018 --- 4250 CAD
November 2018 --- 16500 CAD
December 2018 --- 18000 CAD
January 2019 --- 21932 CAD
Ferbruary 2019 --- 23000 CAD

Is this account history OK for our proof of funds, hope the bulk sum in November will not raise a flag?
I added an LOE just stating that the funds came from me and it’s readily available to us at anytime.

Note: we are a family of 2 and current requirement is 15777 CAD.

Hope we re good.

4Barr:

1. Get your credentials assessed by the NCA (LLB, BL, Letter of good standing from the NBA)
2. Write the exams assessed by the NCA - This is an average of five exams depending on your core LLB courses and can be completed within a year or less depending on your schedule and pocket().
3. Pass the exams and get a certificate of qualification from the NCA
4. Apply and register with a law society of the your choice province. Remember you will have to apply again to another province if you change your province.
5. Enroll in the Articling program for a year or apply for waiver (this is a long-shot but some people have tried it before based on their years of experience and got it reduced to six months). In Ontario you will also have to write the Bar exams separately but in Alberta they do CPLED during the Articling programme instead. There's also an alternative to Articling in Ontario which is done through a Law school.
6. Upon completion of your Articling programme, you get called to the Bar and you can start enjoying the fruit of your labour.

HI, the letter of good standing is it from the NBA or Supreme Court?

Good morning my landed seniors, Please I have an urgent question to ask. Please if you arrive Calgary on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) will you be able to get the SIN formalities done? As someone told me that the people in charge of this would not be around on the weekend and then I would need to come back to the airport again for this. Please can anyone confirm for this from their own experience?

You probably won't be able to get SIN done on a weekend. All you need to do is Google "Service Canada" nearest to you and go there on a weekday

There's no Service Canada at the Calgary airport. You will need to do it on Monday. Just google Service Canada Calgary
