1. There's nothing cable about both bridges.

2. The bridge in Lagos was completely paid for by the LASG and handed over to a private entity for management me maintenance.

3. The bridge in Lagos is a real bridge, the one in Anambra is an ordinary flyover.

4. The bridge in Lagos looks new like it was built yesterday, but we've seen pictures of the flyover in Anambra crumbling and breaking apart. It's a poorly constructed rubbish.

6. The flyover in Anambra has no Cable, it's just a metal decoration.
Lekki bridge is actually the first PPP project completed in Nigeria between Julius Berger and Lagos that why there is toll on the bridge, that same method they are using in second Niger Bridge

@candidtalk,you're quite right. It's good to see other people do well...of course, not to your own I'll.There should not be bitterness about progress for someone, a people or what have you.In fact, it unburdens you; it frees you of certain responsibilities. That's the problem the West is facing concerning Africa. They refused to help Africa and now African migrants have become like wrapped pythons on their neck.
But for a fly to want to mimic the soaring of the eagle, not even a bird, for me is asking too much of fortune and gambling recklessly with chance.
The roots of Lagos' socio-economic progress lies in its being made a British colony in 1861,when other parts of Nigeria were uncharted and obscured. That was the game changer.Lagos has not looked back since then. And, its telling those in its trail: catch me if you can.

@mabea,I hope so.In Nigeria's politics, there's too much rhetorics and less and less action.Yes,we know everything falls back on politics. But whatever happened to governance-delivery of services down to the masses?

Lekki epe toll road and lekki ikoyi bridge are 2 different things.

It was built with state funds 100%, the PPP part is was introduced strictly for tolling and tolling facilities for maintenance and income generation for the state..

Get your facts straight.

You didn't mess around with anyone. You are the one that ended up chest beating. A sitting governor took stock of investments he has attracted to his state and the ones yet to be finalised and dared to dream. You got offended, started foaming in the mouth throwing unsolicited statistics around, almost ready to pull shirt and fight. Oga calm down, take a glass of water and find something useful to do.

but his dreams is not reality on ground....

i dare to say that lagos is actualy real capital of west africa....

The judge held that there was nothing before the court to show that the construction of the bridge was a Public Private Partnership project, insisting that the bridge was built with public funds.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/158748-lekki-ikoyi-bridge-judgment-court-rules-lagos-application-april-25.html

He said the PPP law the government was laying claims to collect toll on the bridge did not apply in this matter as there were no evidences before him to show that the bridge was a PPP project.

In the light of this, Justice Seidu upheld the claims of the claimant, Adegboruwa stopping Lagos Government from collecting tolls on the bridge.

Stop confusing yourself with internet abstracts and snippets with no source of links.

This is the legal argument and conclusion by a sitting judge, it was built with public funds. PPP issue surfaced because the state introduced PPP with a private company to collect toll for income and maintenance.

PPP was strictly for toll collection, not for the actual construction and funding.

It is good Mr Obiano is using Lagos as a yardstick for greatness,
The Holy Book told us to be imitator of good things.

We all know why Lagos state remains the best state in Nigeria already...........!
he said investment destination and this is Becouse Lagos is a no man's land and will remain so till eternity.

Bruv, that guy is one of those Igbos obsessed with comparing d.ick size with the Yorubas. To that extent, real statistics and facts mean nothing to him and his kind. Obiano's statement is daft. Very daft. Lagos is already the 5th-6th biggest economy in Africa and one of the biggest markets plus biggest home of human resources - skilled and unskilled- in Nigeria. These are only a few basic advantages of Lagos Anambra or any other State can never neutralise or better. Simply not economically feasible.

One truth is that your statements is proof that Nigeria can hardly be a better place with different nations and shows how our politicians of today reason, "If this power project that will solve power problems will jo be sited in my region, then I won't support it".
To top it all you mention what Tinunu and Fashola achieved in Lagos forgetting Marwa?
Bros, you likely dont know
Did you read Obiano's words that you call daft?
Here again were his words, "Our major competitor now is Lagos State, and we are sure that at this pace, we are going to TAKE major investment OPPORTUNITIES from Lagos VERY SOON"
Where are the daft words?
These words are invariably a commendation to Lagos as a yardstick but your type feels Igbos are jealous of Lagos.
Bros, I for one don't prefer Lagos for its population density but for economy and class, bros eko o ni baje for real!
Lagos should be a standard for every reasonable state govt in Nigeria.

Your internet snippets and abstracts mean nothing, it's totally irrelevant. It was proven in a court of law that it was built with state funds.

Random internet rubbish can not override proven facts and judgement in a court of law where all the facts and figures were tendered.

PPP was introduced for tolling, not for construction and if you have credible facts showing who paid for the project apart from Lagos state, show their name/s and how much they paid to build the bridge.

I know you, you are a purveyor of falsehoods and internet trash.

I think so many people don’t know how to read and and understand what they are reading.

Governor never said that Anambra economy will be bigger than Lagos.

The Governor said that (using the current trend of investments into the state) he projects Anambra will surpass Lagos in new investments.

What is controversial about the statement or does it mean that Nigerians lack reading comprehension.

It's possible, but the only way that can happen is if the structure and political-economy of Nigeria is totally overhauled and restructured! Either that, or the break-up of Nigeria, with Igbos totally in control of their destiny!

There's nothing particularly special about Lagos! It's present status owes itself largely to 'one Nigeria' and all the shenanigans that have gone on since the late 60s!
