Oh ok. I did get mine on the 12th too and case has been shipped yesterday. It'll get to the embassy latest this friday.

Our case number has been assigned. How long does it take for them to ship it?

Track your case ,it could be on transit also. Except they didn't assign your case number on time.

The next predicted shipping date should be 3rd September. But you should keep monitoring it in ceac website.

I can only say that you start giving NVC a call 3 weeks from now. Nothing to do, put you can start filling out your ds160 if you want.

Fine, what's the update of your case, at NVC ? Once it's on transit they would send an email to him or whichever email they have.

My fiancee filled a K1 visa for me and have recieved the packet from the embassy giving me go ahead to make my visa payment, appointment booking and my medicals .II already paid for my visa fee,created a profile but telling me there are no available dates to schedule and interview.Should I send a mail to the embassy or I should wait till a date pop up cos there are news everywhere that I might not be able to see a date till November .

My man is planning to come to Nigeria in October. Please, how is he going to secure a Nigerian visa from g Tallahassee, Florida. How much is he expected to have on him and in his bank account ? Can the visa be gotten on arrival and if no what’s the steps in getting the visa? Thanks for all the help

Tell him to contact the Nigerian Embassy closest to him and apply for a Tourist/Visiting Visa ASAP. See below for list of required docs:

DOCUMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA

Current passport (with at least 6 months validity)
Completed visa application form
Confirmation of online payment
2 passport size pictures
Letter of invitation from Host accepting full immigration responsibility
Data page of Host passport,
Confirmed hotel reservation, if the applicant is not staying with Host
Valid return airline ticket.
Evidence of funds to cover stay in Nigeria (letter from bank etc.)
Holders of non–U.S passports must provide proof of legal residency (photocopy of Green Card).

Get a joint sponsor and do what they say. Issuance of visa depends on when the embassy is satisfied.

If I were you I would do visa on arrival for him. Nigeria Visa can be frustrating to get.When I did mine I think it cost 30k with immigration in alagbon
